Gerrit Cole — Most Strikeouts (+225)

Last season with the Astros, Cole struck out 326 batters. Only one other pitcher came within 67 of Cole, and that was Justin Verlander, who was still 26 off and will be 37 this season.

Cole’s ridiculous totals were way higher than in any of his previous seasons. But even his 276-strikeout mark in 2018 would have finished No. 2 last year.

He’ll have the offensive support to be aggressive on the hill. Cole could take 1-2 stints on the injured list and still win the K’s crown. Take Cole to repeat as strikeout champion at Unibet.

American League pennant (+175)

When it comes to winning the World Series, the Dodgers are a powerhouse, and while I like the Yankees at +400 for that, I like them more for this.

The Yankees led the majors in scoring and were a historically good hitting team last year. That was without Giancarlo Stanton for 144 of the games and Aaron Judge for 60 of them. Now they have everyone back for a shorter season, something that should benefit the sluggers.

Giancarlo Stanton — AL MVP (+4000)

On the surface, this one’s a little out there. Stanton has only managed to play more than 145 games three times in his 10 MLB seasons, and you can’t win Most Valuable Player if you’re not on the field.

But in two of the last three seasons when he has missed fewer than 20 games, he finished first or second in the MVP voting. When he plays, his bat is as productive as anyone's.

You also can’t win if you’re a primary position is designated hitter — at least, it has never happened. Yankees manager Aaron Boone says Stanton will play OF and DH.
