It was an offseason of change for the Boston Celtics, with Brad Stevens moving to a front-office role and the team bringing in Ime Udoka to try and bring the franchise back to the NBA Finals. You’ll find a wide range of opinions on what the Celtics will or won’t accomplish this season, meaning there should be plenty of value to be had — regardless of which side you’re on — with NBA odds.

We love the core of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart and believe Boston could very well be in the hunt in the Eastern Conference if some supporting cast members play to their potential. Top-line talent wins when it comes to NBA betting, and the C’s have plenty of it.

With Connecticut sports betting legal and going live soon, there are many Celtics fans south of the Bay State that might want to jump on board.

Celtics Win-Total Betting

The Line: 45.5 (-110) at FanDuel ➜

We’re not too concerned about the Celtics’ 36-36 record from last season. The core pieces are still around that helped Boston to 48 or more wins each year from 2016 to 2020. Sportsbooks are clearly expecting improvement given this number, and we think Tatum will take another leap forward as a potential All-Pro and lead the Celtics back to contention after a down year.

The Bet: We’re cautiously optimistic that the C’s go Over here at FanDuel.

Celtics Division Odds

The Line: +1200 with BetMGM ➜

There’s no question the Nets are the favorite here as they could and should be the top seed in the East. And despite the Ben Simmons drama, the Sixers will also be in contention here. The Atlantic Division is loaded, but don’t sleep on Boston here — betting apps have them as significant underdog, but we wouldn’t be shocked if they surprise everyone and come out on top here.

The Bet: We believe there’s some value here at BetMGM Sportsbook if you think Brooklyn will take the regular season easy.

Celtics Eastern Conference Odds

The Line: +2500 at WynnBET ➜

The Celtics were never able to win the East under Brad Stevens, and betting sites don’t believe in them doing so under Udoka. The Nets and Bucks are the prohibitive favorites, while the Heat and Sixers aren’t all that far behind. It would take a truly historic season from Tatum for the Celtics to make such a huge jump in a very top-heavy East.

The Bet: We’d avoid this even though the odds are incredibly long at WynnBET.

Celtics NBA Title Odds

The Line: +4000 with PointsBet Sportsbook

The future is bright in Boston with Tatum and Brown, but there are better NBA picks out there than the Celtics to win the 2022 championship. Even if they finish as a top-3 seed in the East, they’d likely have to go through the Bucks and Nets before facing whichever team came out of the West. 2022 isn’t the year the Celtics hang banner No. 18.

The Bet: You can avoid these NBA title odds at PointsBet Sportsbook.

Best Celtics Player Prop Bets

The Line: Jayson Tatum, Scoring Leader, +1000 at DraftKings ➜

There aren’t a ton of NBA futures involving the Celtics that we love, but you can’t discount just how good of a scorer Jayson Tatum is. He improved his scoring to 26.3 points per game in his fourth NBA season, and it’s tough to find a reason why he won’t continue to increase that number in Year 5. He’s worth a look here.

The Bet: We like this prop given the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook.
