Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox may soon be on the move. The Kings are rumored to be listening to trade offers for the All-Star talent, who has one more year left on his contract beyond this season. Fox reportedly will not sign an extension with the Kings, and the team is currently navigating the NBA to see what kind of trade offers other squads could make for him.

With Fox rumored to be on the move before the February 6 NBA trade deadline, veteran Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson created the next NBA odds on what team he could be on next.

Possible Landing Spots

San Antonio Spurs (+200)

The Spurs are reportedly the favorite to land Fox, who is rumored to want a trade there. The Spurs have a plethora of young players, prospects, and draft capital available to trade to the Kings, making them a natural trade partner. As well, the Spurs have young superstar Victor Wembanyama on the squad, so the Spurs have a bright future for many years to come. Fox would be a perfect fit, and it seems like the team is going to try and make a trade offer for him.

Sacramento Kings (+350)

The Kings struggled out of the gate this season but after firing Mike Brown, the team has looked much better with Doug Christie as the head coach. Still, Fox is reportedly not happy with the team’s outlook and would prefer to be traded and sign a long-term deal with another team. Fox still has another year left on his contract, so the Kings may try to convince him to change his mind and end up keeping him, even though it feels like this marriage is coming to an end.

Miami Heat (+600)

The Heat have been mired in the Jimmy Butler saga for the last few months as the team’s long-time star has made it public that he wants a trade. The Heat are going to trade Butler, and it may have to be in a complex multi-team trade due to the NBA salary cap. If that’s the case, then it’s possible the Heat could get back an expensive star like Fox in a true blockbuster to make the salaries work. Plus, Fox likely wouldn’t mind playing in sunny Miami.

Brooklyn Nets (+750)

The Nets are one of the worst teams in the NBA as the team is actively tanking for a higher draft pick. That being said, they have a ton of great young players and a hoard of draft picks that they could use to lure a star to Brooklyn, and Fox could be the player they make a big swing for.

Houston Rockets (+850)

On paper, the Rockets are a tremendous fit for Fox, who could help put them over the top as they look to win the NBA Championship. The Rockets have taken a massive leap in the standings this year and look like a legitimate title contender. They also have the young players and draft capital the Kings would want in return. However, there are rumors the Rockets do not want to change their roster and disrupt team chemistry, so they may not make a run at Fox.

Orlando Magic (+850)

The Magic have been one of the most surprising teams in the league this year despite many injuries to their key players, and they seem poised to make a deep playoff run if they can get back to health. Adding a talented star like Fox would certainly help the Magic out for this year and beyond, and the team has the young players that the Kings would like to get in a trade.

Los Angeles Lakers (+1000)

The Lakers are always looking for more All-Star talent to pair with aging legend LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Lakers may not have the pieces to get Fox compared to some other teams, but will likely place a phone call to the Kings and see if a deal is possible just in case.

The Field (+1100)

If Fox is indeed on the trade block, a mystery team could always emerge and take a shot at trading for him, hoping to convince him to sign a long-term extension with them.
