The Milwaukee Bucks flamed out of the playoffs once again after losing 4-1 to the Indiana Pacers, the third year in a row the Bucks have lost in the first round. Since the Bucks won the NBA Championship in 2021, the team has only won one playoff series.

That’s why there is speculation that Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo could want out of the situation, or that the Bucks themselves could gauge his trade value as the team looks to retool its roster.

If the Bucks decide to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo, the price will be high, and the Bucks could completely change the trajectory of their franchise with the pieces the team gets in a trade if GM Jon Horst decides to call around the league and see what other teams will offer him.

With Antetokounmpo reportedly OK'ing the teams to seek a potential trade, Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has updated his odds NBA odds for what his next team will be.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's Next Move

After a devastating loss against the Pacers, Giannis Antetokounmpo might ask out of the Bucks. Which are the top trading spots for the Greek Freak?

Oklahoma City Thunder (+550)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the best team in the NBA, but they can still improve. The team has tons of draft picks and young players it can consolidate into a trade, and if Antetokounmpo is truly available, the Thunder have to be the favorites to land “The Greek Freak” in a trade. Imagine the Thunder with Antetokounmpo on their team. They’d be the favorites to win the NBA Championship for the next five-plus years, and it’s scary to think how good they would be.

Houston Rockets (+600)

The Houston Rockets have a phenomenal young team, but they need a veteran with playoff experience to get to the next level. If Antetokounmpo is on the trade block, then the Rockets need to consider packaging some of their young players and draft picks to acquire him. The team would likely have the right pieces to lure the Bucks into taking a phone call with them, making the Rockets one of the betting favorites to land Antetokounmpo in a big trade.

Milwaukee Bucks (+600)

The Milwaukee Bucks have one of the best NBA players in the world under contract with Antetokounmpo, but despite making trades for players such as Damian Lillard and Kyle Kuzma, it was another disappointing playoff exit. There is no doubt the Bucks are a better team with Antetokounmpo than without him, so there is certainly a chance they keep him. If tough decisions need to be made, then the Bucks need to consider trading their star.

Brooklyn Nets (+750)

The Brooklyn Nets have a hoard of draft picks that they could consider trading for the right player, and Antetokounmpo could very well be that guy. That’s why the Nets should make a phone call to the Bucks and see what it would cost to bring Antetokounmpo to Brooklyn.

Orlando Magic (+900)

The Orlando Magic have a talented young team, but after getting bounced by the Boston Celtics in the first round, the team should consider making changes to its roster. If Antetokounmpo is truly available, then the Magic should make a phone call and see what his trade cost is.

San Antonio Spurs (+1000)

The San Antonio Spurs are one of the most promising young teams on the rise in the NBA. They have tons of good young players and draft picks, and if they can package some of their assets together, they could pick up a true star on the trade market. If Antetokounmpo is available, then the Spurs have to be considered one of the favorites to get him in a trade.

New Orleans Pelicans (+1200)

The New Orleans Pelicans missed the playoffs and have already overhauled their front office. Their head coach might be next. The team will look different next year, so it’s possible they could explore trades, and acquiring Antetokounmpo would dramatically reshape their roster.

Memphis Grizzlies (+1200)

The Memphis Grizzlies lost in the first round of the playoffs this season, and they figure to consider making changes to their roster. If Antetokounmpo is truly available, then the Grizzlies have a variety of intriguing pieces they could consider packaging together in a trade for the star.

Boston Celtics (+1500)

The Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship last year and could very well repeat this season. That being said, anytime you have the chance to improve your roster, you have to do it, so if Antetokounmpo is on the trade market, the Celtics would have to consider trading someone like Jaylen Brown and draft picks to get Antetokounmpo and pair him up with Jayson Tatum.

Los Angeles Lakers (+1800)

Anytime an NBA superstar is available, the LA Lakers are always linked to them, and that will certainly be the case if Antetokounmpo becomes available on the trade market this summer. That being said, other teams would likely be able to make more compelling trade offers.

Golden State Warriors (+2000)

The Golden State Warriors could use a talented big man like Antetokounmpo, and if he becomes available in a trade, the Warriors definitely need to make a phone call to see what the price is, although other teams likely have superior trade pieces to make a deal with the Bucks.

The Field (+1100)

Is a Giannis-for-Cooper Flagg deal worth it? If Giannis is truly available, then every NBA team should at least make a phone call to the Bucks, including whichever team wins the NBA Lottery and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, presumably to select Duke's Cooper Flagg.
