Pascal Siakam praised the Indiana Pacers and his half-season in the Hoosier State. But now the season’s over, and now he’s an unrestricted free agent.

Siakam was a key trade acquisition for a Pacers team that advanced to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2014. Indiana surely wants him back to make another run next season. That said, he’s now free to go anywhere he wants.

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has revealed his 2024-25 team odds for the two-time All-Star forward.

Where Will Siakam Land?

Siakam had no problem fitting in when the Pacers traded with the Toronto Raptors to add him. In 41 games in Indy, the power forward averaged 21.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

He got even better in the playoffs, including an average of 22.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 4.2 apg in the Round 1 series win over the Bucks. He became just the third player in NBA history with consecutive 35-point, 10-rebound playoff games (joining Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor).

“It’s been a blessing,” Siakam said after Monday’s season-ending loss to the Celtics. “I’m really appreciative of everything. Coming from where I come from, it means a lot.”

That said, in the same interview he declined to talk about his future, so it appears he’s ready to explore all the options.

For Indiana’s part, the Pacers are reportedly prepared to offer Siakam a max contract – something no other team can match financially. Returning to Indiana gives Siakam the most compensation for a conference-contending team. The Pacers are strong favorites to have Siakam for next season for several reasons.

Most teams in need of a high-scoring power forward don’t have the salary cap room to compete with Indiana, and history suggests most max-potential free agents stick with those teams.

The Los Angeles Clippers could be looking for someone to replace Paul George, himself a free agent rumored to be the top target of the cap-rich Philadelphia 76ers. If PG-13 ends up in Philly, L.A. could push hard to replace him with someone of equal production.

The Sixers could see Siakam as a possible Plan B, as well. They tried trading for him before Toronto ultimately moved him to Indiana.

The San Antonio Spurs have money to spend and may want to be more proactive than they usually are to field a competitive team before Gregg Popovich rides off into the sunset. Siakam went to high school in Texas, albeit in the Dallas area.
