The Big Bash League has reached the final, and there has been no shortage of excitement to this point. The Brisbane Heat were the class of the field, topping the regular-season table with 16 points. They were joined in the playoff field by the Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers. Into its 13th season, the BBL continues to be one of the biggest T20 tournaments in the world and will get people scouring their cricket betting sites all over the world.

And then there were two. After the Sixers defeated the Heat to reach the final in the first qualifier Friday night, the Heat had to do it the hard way to qualify for the final and were able to easily get past the Strikers Monday. So, people visiting Australian betting sites or NZ betting sites will still have this season's top two to wager on before Wednesday's final.

BBL 13 Betting Odds

The Brisbane Heat topped the regular-season table with seven wins from their 10 games, but it is the team who snuck into the qualifier alongside them who are the favourites to win the tournament. The Sydney Sixers beat the five-time champions, the Perth Scorchers, in their final game to pip them into the qualifier spot and second place in the table. Find the latest odds here:

Big Bash Betting Tip

It seems odd to say, but perhaps the two best players in the tournament have come from the team that finished in fourth spot. Matthew Short has nearly 200 runs more than any other player in the tournament, and from one fewer innings than the next best, Australia's Aaron Hardie. Their overseas player Jamie Overton has also been a steal for them with 16 wickets and nearly 100 runs scored. However, no team has been impacted as much as the Strikers in terms of players leaving early for the SA20 or ILT20, with all three key players of Overton, Chris Lynn and Adam Hose not playing in the playoffs.

That makes choosing a team to win a little trickier as all have player losses to a certain degree. The Brisbane Heat are losing Sam Billings and Colin Munro for the playoffs, but they are getting spare Australia Test batter Matt Renshaw back. It may be the team who survives best without some star players wins the day, and the Heat could do just that.

Big Bash Schedule

Now we've reached the playoffs, there are only a handful of games left. The first one saw the Heat lost to the Sixers in the first qualifier on Friday, January 19th. The Sixers went straight into the final and will be joined by the Heat, who beat the Adelaide Strikers Monday night. The final will be played at the SCG on Wednesday, January 24th.

TV stations around the world will have you covered for every game. In Australia, Channel Seven will broadcast all playoff matches. Foxtel and Kayo Sports will also broadcast them. In the UK, Sky Sports will have coverage throughout the tournament.
