Lakers vs. Rockets Game 4: Series Preview

Nobody expected this. The Lakers lost Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves to injury before the playoffs started. Kevin Durant missed Game 1. Houston's NBA odds opened the series as -750 preseason favorites. And yet the Lakers lead 2-0.

Game 2 was worse for Houston. Durant returned but had 9 turnovers and scored just 3 of his 23 points in the second half. Marcus Smart shadowed him all night and forced him into bad decisions in the final 20 minutes. LeBron delivered 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. The Lakers won 101-94 and took full control of the series.

Both games went under the total. Game 1 closed at 208.5 and finished 205 combined. Game 2 closed at 209.5 and finished 195 combined. The Lakers are playing slow, physical, half-court basketball that completely neutralizes Houston's pace preference. That trend matters for your Game 4 bets.
