Since Penn Entertainment and ESPN announced their partnership this summer, the looming question is when the newest entrant to the online sports betting space will launch. We got that answer on Thursday, when Penn CEO Jay Snowden announced in a press release that ESPN BET will go live in 17 states on Nov. 14.

It’s enormous news for Penn, ESPN, the online sports betting industry, and sports bettors alike—who all will get a taste of the media mogul’s operations just in time for the heart of the sports season. The wheels have been in motion for some time, with ESPN BET recently unveiling its logo and color scheme.

We expected everything to launch sometime in late November, but they’ve beat that projection and will be live well before an important Thanksgiving weekend that will feature NFL, NHL, NBA, and college basketball action for sports bettors to pounce on when making their initial wagers at ESPN BET.
