4 New York Giants Prop Bets Worth Playing This NFL Season

The New York Giants haven’t won more than five games in a season since 2016 and have just one playoff berth since 2011.

But the Giants have a new coach, a slew of free agent additions and a draft that focused on protecting quarterback Daniel Jones and making room for running back Saquon Barkley.

With numerous NFL futures prop bets available on the Giants for the 2020 NFL season, these are the bets we like best:

Player Odds

Over 3,800.5 Passing Yards
-110

Daniel Jones
Over 25.5 TD Passes
-110
Bet it at DraftKings
Total Wins Under 6.5 -105

Giants To Make Playoffs — No -360

Odds current as of publication

Daniel Jones — Over 3,800.5 Pass Yards (-110)

Jones had an up-and-down rookie season, but it was a rookie season. He passed for 3,027 yards in 12 starts, with 24 TDs and 12 INTs. His 61.9 completion percentage was better than any of his seasons at Duke, which is promising. He set basically every rookie QB record for the Giants.

Now Jones has a year under his belt. He should have a healthy Barkley in the backfield to take pressure off, and healthy receivers, things he didn’t have last year. Golden Tate managed just 11 games, Sterling Shepard 10, starting TE Evan Engram just eight. The Giants used the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to secure tackle Andrew Thomas and spent money on two other new starters for the offensive line. The pieces are in place to Jones to take that next step and have a productive second season. Bet the Over at 888sport.

Daniel Jones Over 25.5 TD Passes (-110)

Jones had 24 TDs last season despite nearly no help. New York’s offensive line was a disaster and he rarely worked with a full lineup of receivers.

Now his receivers are back, he has an extra year of experience and the offensive line is much improved. All he needs to do is increase his rookie TD total by two to hit here. Barring injury, he should finish at lot closer to 30 TDs than 25. Bet the Over at DraftKings .

Total Wins — Under 6.5 (-105)

As much as I expect Jones to take the next step, this is still a team with a lot of questions. At the top of the list is first-year coach Joe Judge, who has never ascended higher than special teams coordinator and WR coach. What he’ll bring to the table as a head coach to a rebuilding team won’t be known until kickoff. With the NFL world on lockdown, it’s going to take longer than usual for any new coach to get his game plan going.

The schedule isn’t easy, either, with the Cowboys and Eagles in the division, out-of-division home games against the Buccaneers and 49ers and road matchups at Baltimore, Seattle, Chicago and the Rams. For Giants fans and fans of NFL betting, a 6-10 record would be the team’s second-best mark since 2014 and a step in the right direction. Bet the Under at Unibet.

Make Playoffs — No (-360)

4 New York Giants Prop Bets Worth Playing This NFL Season 1

The NFL added a seventh playoff team to each conference, but the NFC especially is deep and talented. There are up to 11-12 teams that can make a claim to one of those seven spots, and the Giants aren’t in that crowd yet.

The Giants appear headed in the right direction — they’re not to the level of the Cowboys or Eagles but certainly appear in better shape than the Redskins. Give Judge a year to figure things out and New York should be closer to competing. For now, take the best odds on No at DraftKings .
