Gerrit Cole — Most Strikeouts (+225)

Last season with the Astros, Cole struck out 326 batters. Only one other pitcher came within 67 of Cole, and that was Justin Verlander, who was still 26 off and will be 37 this season.

Cole’s ridiculous totals were way higher than in any of his previous seasons. But even his 276-strikeout mark in 2018 would have finished No. 2 last year.
