Dallas Mavericks Odds, Betting Guide & Picks for 2019-20

The Dallas Mavericks struck gold with Luka Doncic, and swung for the fences in a trade to pair him with Kristaps Porzingis, the All-Star talent coming off an ACL tear. They’ve got some of the best under-the-radar role players in the Western Conference and appear to be on the rise thanks to their two-headed international monster.

Here’s the key odds available and how you should bet them:

Mavericks Win-Total Betting

The Line: 40.5 with SugarHouse

The West won’t be easy, but this certainly feels like a .500 team on paper. Porzingis is 20 months removed from ACL surgery, so he shouldn’t be all that limited in the regular season. Doncic should be an All-Star, and Delon Wright was a terrific mid-level free agent signing. They have sneaky depth, too, with guys like Seth Curry, Dwight Powell, Jalen Brunson and Dorian Finney-Smith.

The Bet: Feel confident betting the over here.

Mavericks Southwest Division Odds

The Line: +1100 with DraftKings

In a best-case scenario, the Mavericks still aren’t in the same tier as the Houston Rockets (or the San Antonio Spurs for that matter). Even the Pelicans will be fighting for positioning with Dallas, so there’s no value in touching these odds. The Mavs are a few years away from being on that level.

The Bet: Steer clear of this one.

Mavericks Western Conference Odds

The Line: +4200 with FanDuel

We’re not saying the Mavericks will represent the West in the Finals. But the combination of a healthy Porzingis and a sophomore Doncic is incredibly dynamic and difficult to defend. That matters in the postseason, and the Mavericks could make some noise.

The Bet: We don’t expect it to happen, but this isn’t the worst bet on the board at that value.

Mavericks NBA Title Odds

The Line: +6600 with 888sport

Not yet. The Mavericks are building something and Carlisle is one of the game’s best coaches. But they need their young talent to fully blossom before they’re thinking June basketball.

The Bet: Avoid these long odds.

Best Mavericks Player Prop Bets

The Line: Krisptaps Porzingis to be an All-Star +300 with PointsBet

Porzingis should hit the ground running now that he’s 20 months removed from ACL surgery. It’s easy to forget he was an All-Star in 2018 with absurd averages of 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks. Only Anthony Davis has accomplished those numbers since 2010. He’s also entering a contract year. Expect a monster year from one of the game’s most unique players.

The Bet: He’ll be an All-Star, even in a crowded Western Conference.
