After another thrilling summer of top-class hurling, two teams are left to battle it out to be crowned All-Ireland champions. Will it be Kilkenny, who have won the Liam MacCarthy Cup a record 19 times? Or will Limerick be crowned champions for the fourth successive year?

First contested in 1887, the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship is the highest level of the sport. The final brings the nation of Ireland to a standstill as the best two teams in the country go head-to-head for the greatest prize.

Each county has hopes of ending the summer with an All-Ireland winner's medal, but some counties produce better hurling players than other counties. Kilkenny and Limerick are two such counties. Limerick beat Kilkenny to win their second successive title, so motivation should not be an issue for the Cats.

The leading Ireland betting sites have Limerick as slight favourites, but Kilkenny will hope to get one better than last year and win their 20th All-Ireland hurling title.

It's perhaps no surprise that both finalists from last year are back to fight it out in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling final at Croke Park. A repeat of the 2022 final which Limerick won 2-26 to 1-31, would be greatly appreciated at the home of GAA.

Losing the final by just two points will have been painful for Kilkenny, who will make the most of their second meeting with Limerick, who are looking to become the first team since Kilkenny in 2009 to win a fourth successive Liam MacCarthy Cup.

Kilkenny will hope their goalkeeper Eoin Murphy's form continues following his heroics in the semi-final when he produced one of the best saves ever made in the sport. Peter Duggan will still be wondering how he didn't score an injury-time goal which would have levelled the scores.

There will be plenty of betting offers available at the leading GAA betting sites before and during Sunday's final including free bet offers..

The 2023 All-Ireland Hurling Final Odds

Limerick have been unstoppable in the last few years when it comes to hurling. They have lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup in each of the last three years and they are favourites to do so for a fourth time this weekend. But Kilkenny will have gone away and learned what they could have done better last year when they lost the All-Ireland Hurling final by two points.

Like any sporting event, hurling provides plenty of betting opportunities and there will be plenty of markets to choose from ahead of Sunday's showdown at Croke Park. The latest odds from Betfair are:

  • Limerick - 4/9
  • Kilkenny - 5/2
  • Draw - 8/1

The best Irish betting sites will have every market covered before Sunday's 3.30 throw-in and they might make free bets available for the game also.

Betway Odds:

Last season's final was decided by just two points and this season's final could be another close affair. These are the two best teams in the country and both squads have players who can produce moments of brilliance to turn a game. Betway have 4/1 for Limerick to win by between one and three points and 6/1 for Kilkenny to win by the same margin.

LeoVegas Odds:

Could this year's All-Ireland Hurling Final finish all square after 70 minutes? It might just do as there is very little between the two sides. LeoVegas have odds of 9/1 for Sunday's All-Ireland Hurling final to end in a draw after normal time.
