It was one of the transfer sagas to dominate the sport last year and again the future of Antoine Griezmann looks set to drag on this summer.

Griezmann has claimed he will be patient as he looks to move away from Atletico Madrid with a host of Europe's top clubs chasing his signature.

Barcelona have seemed the most likely destination for Griezmann after the Frenchman revealed his intention to leave Atletico Madrid and seek a new challenge.

The Spanish champions, who came close to signing Griezmann last summer before the player opted to stay and sign a new deal at Atletico, are now odds-on to finally land the forward this summer with their odds being clipped into 10/11 (-110) by Betway in recent days.

However, doubts remain over whether Barcelona can afford to do a deal for Griezmann, with the World Cup winner having a €120million ($135m) release clause in his contract at Atletico.

That fee would cause no issues for big-spending Paris Saint-Germain as they have the financial muscle to pay the release clause, but their odds on bringing the Frenchman back to his native home have drifted out slightly to even-money (+100).

Griezmann's Next Club Odds

Manchester United, who for a long time last summer were leading the race to sign Griezmann, come next in the betting at 10/1 (+1000) and, although they could afford any deal, the lack of Champions League football next season could prove to be a massive disadvantage for the Red Devils.

United's neighbours Manchester City are also a 10/1 (+1000) shot to sign Griezmann despite Pep Guardiola playing down talk of the Frenchman making the move to the Etihad before the FA Cup final against Watford.

Outsider Odds Unmoved

Meanwhile, Italian champions Juventus are not expected to be in the mix at 20/1 (+2000) to bring in Griezmann during this summer's transfer window, while German champions Bayern Munich – who are busy reshaping their squad having already signed Greizmann's Atletico and France team-mate Lucas Hernandez – are 25/1 (+2500) outsiders with Betway to raid Atletico again.

A shock switch across the city to Real Madrid is the biggest outside bet at 33/1 (+3300) and although Real are rebuilding the squad this summer a move for Greizmann looks unlikely following the recent arrivals of Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard.

Griezmann has admitted he knows where he wants to go and it could come a lot clearer on July 1st when his release clause drops in price.
