James Rodriguez is set to be a casualty of the fire sale at Real Madrid this summer as they look to trim their squad and raise transfer funds, but could the Colombian be on his way to the Premier League?

The skilful attacker has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, but the German giants opted against making the move permanent, leaving Rodriguez and Real Madrid in limbo.

Atletico Madrid and Napoli have been the leading contenders for Rodriguez's signature this summer with both clubs swapping favouritism at times, but a new surprise suitor has emerged in the shape of Premier League outfit Wolves after a flurry of bets on the club to sign the player.

Wolves, who finished seventh in the Premier League last season, have been cut in from 25/1 (+2500) to 10/1 (+1000) with Paddy Power to land Rodriguez during this summer's transfer window.

There is a common link between the player and Wolves, with Rodriguez's super-agent Jorge Mendes playing an influential role in transfer activity at Molineux due to his close ties with the club's owners the Fosun Group.

However, Atletico Madrid are understood to be Rodriguez's preferred choice to be his next club and a switch across the Spanish capital is odds-on at 4/6 (-150) with Betfair and Paddy Power.

Napoli are second favourites at 15/8 (+188) to sign Rodriguez with Carlo Ancelotti keen to be reunited with his former Real Madrid star in Naples.

Diverse Odds On Rodriguez Move

Chelsea are a 6/1 (+600) shot with BetVictor to bring in Rodriguez, but this deal looks highly unlikely with Chelsea facing a transfer ban in this window and in the January window, pending an appeal to Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Italian champions Juventus, who have been one of the busiest clubs in this transfer window, are as short as 2/1 (+200) with BetVictor to sign Rodriguez, although that move is as big as 25/1 (+2500) with Paddy Power.

Betfair and Paddy Power go 25/1 (+2500) apiece on Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United to sign the South American this summer, while BetVictor are offering 6/1 (+600) on a move to the French capital and 10/1 (+1000) on a switch to Old Trafford.

European champions Liverpool are best-priced at 33/1 (+3300) with Betfair to add Rodriguez to their attacking line-up, while the same move is just 8/1 (+800) with BetVictor.

Bayern Munich are also 33/1 (+3300), even though they gave up the option to sign Rodriguez on a permanent basis after his two-year loan spell at the Allianz Arena.

BetVictor rate North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal at 12/1 (+1200) to be Rodriguez's next club, while Betfair and Paddy Power have Tottenham available at 40/1 (+4000) and Arsenal ranks outsiders at 50/1 (+5000).
