Since 2000, the John Mackey Award has been given out every year to the most outstanding tight end in college football. Past recipients of the award include NFL stars such as Mark Andrews, Trey McBride, and Brock Bowers, so the winner of the award typically points to a college football player who will have an outstanding career across NFL betting circles.

With the regular college football season now in the books, Bookies.com has put together hypothetical betting odds for who the winner of the John Mackey Award could be. See below.

Eli Stowers (+325)

Eli Stowers enters his second straight year as a tight end for Vanderbilt. Last year, Stowers played 13 games and scored five receiving touchdowns on 49 receptions with 638 receiving yards overall. The former quarterback is considered by draft experts to be a top 2026 draft prospect among college tight ends, particularly if he has another great season for Vanderbilt. This season, he has caught 62 passes for 769 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games. His 769 receiving yards are the most for a TE in the nation.

Michael Trigg (+375)

Now in his senior year at Baylor, Michael Trigg is coming off a great season, during which he scored three touchdowns on 30 receptions for 395 receiving yards. He is having a strong final college season at Baylor and is projected to head to the NFL afterward. So far this season, Trigg has caught 50 passes for 694 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games.

Tanner Koziol (+375)

After three seasons with Ball State, Tanner Koziol transferred to Houston for his senior season, and he is having a fine season in his bid to gain NFL interest. In 2024, Koziol played 12 games, scoring a whopping eight touchdowns after hauling in 92 passes and gaining 839 yards. In 2025, Koziol has caught 65 passes for 651 yards and five touchdowns through 12 games. His 65 caught passes are the most in the nation for a TE.

Kenyon Sadiq (+650)

Oregon junior Kenyon Sadiq has had a solid season so far. In 11 games, he has caught 40 passes for 490 yards and eight touchdowns, which has led him to rise on this list.

Dallen Bentley (+1250)

Dallen Bentley has exploded onto the scene for Utah this year, catching 42 passes for 514 yards and five touchdowns through 12 games. He didn't score any touchdowns in his sophomore or junior seasons, so this has been a big leap forward for Bentley this year.

Justin Joly (+2000)

Justin Joly is playing in his fourth college season, though he is still considered a junior at North Carolina State. After a big 2024 season where he caught four touchdowns, Joly has looked great so far in 2025, racking up 47 receptions for 468 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games. His seven TDs as a TE lead the nation.

Dae'Quan Wright (+2500)

Speaking of great seasons, Dae'Quan Wright of Ole Miss has caught 30 passes for 489 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games.

Benjamin Brahmer (+2500)

Benjamin Brahmer is in his junior season for Iowa State, where he has played his entire CFB career, and so far through 12 games, he is having his best college football season to date, with 37 receptions for 446 yards and six touchdowns.
