The early betting market is heating up for an anticipated rematch between YouTube celebrities KSI and Logan Paul.

KSI vs Logan Paul 2 is set for Nov. 9 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The bout will be streamed live in the U.S. on DAZN and promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

While the two essentially participated in a “white-collar”-style amateur contest ending in a majority draw last August in Manchester, England, this time KSI and Paul will be entering the ring as full-fledged professional athletes.

That means the headgear used for the last bout is coming off and the gloves the participants will wear will be the standard 10-ounce variety used by Canelo Alvarez and Manny Pacquiao in their last bouts.

Reportedly selling over one million PPV buys on YouTube, KSI vs Logan Paul 2 isn’t the typical kind of fight boxing bettors are accustomed to. But with so many odds available on the early betting market, and with the line moving away from the even-money pick it was at the open, it’s clear the fight is drawing interest from the betting public.

KSI vs Logan Paul 2 Betting Odds

KSI, whose real name is Olajide William Olatunji, earned the draw the hard way last time. Paul’s straighter and seemingly more powerful punches helped him storm out of the gate to build an early lead, but as the bout progressed over the second half of the six-round contest, KSI’s more-fluid approach and better overall conditioning started to give him the edge.

Bettors on the early market seem to think Paul’s second-half struggles will be corrected for the rematch. According to Dublin-based bookmaker Paddy Power, Paul is the -188 (8/15) favorite for the second fight with KSI the underdog at +150 (6/4).

Perhaps bettors believe that Paul’s two-inch height advantage and assumed long reach will give him a bigger edge under the rules of professional boxing than they did under amateur rules. After all, the lack of headgear, combined with the smaller gloves, gives each punch in the pro game a greater measure of effect.

Paddy Power offers Paul by KO, TKO or DQ at +130 (13/10) on the method of victory market, while either fighter can be backed by decision at +333 (10/3). Those numbers seem to suggest the bookies are leaning toward Paul scoring the stoppage win.

But there’s another way to look at the first fight that might offer more value in picking the rematch. Sometimes it just takes a few rounds for the better overall fighter to adjust to the opponent.

Such was the case when Andre Ward struggled to defeat Sergey Kovalev by razor-thin decision in their first fight in November 2016. In that fight, Kovalev got out to an early lead, but Ward seemed to figure things out by the second half of the fight.

That was made apparent in the rematch seven months later when Ward dominated and stopped Kovalev in eight rounds.

KSI by KO, TKO or DQ is +400 (4/1) per Paddy Power. Perhaps he’s just a more technically sound boxer than Paul the way Ward was compared to Kovalev.

Whatever the case, there are plenty of betting options in all sorts of markets for KSI vs. Logan Paul 2. Bettors will need to carefully choose what makes the most sense and make their bets accordingly.
