Rhett Lashlee, SMU Head Coach (+475)
SMU Mustangs head coach Rhett Lashlee is our favorite to take over the job at Arkansas. Lashlee has done a terrific job in his two years at the helm of SMU, but if the Razorbacks come calling, he may not be able to turn it down.
Jon Sumrall, Tulane Head Coach (+550)
Joe Sumrall has been the head coach for the Tulane Green Wave since 2024, and the team has done well under his leadership. However, a move to the Razorbacks can’t be ruled out.

Alex Golesh, USF Head Coach (+800)
Alex Golesh has been the head honcho for the South Florida Bulls since 2023. The team has been terrific this year, but moving to the Razorbacks may still be something that intrigues him.
Golesh could also be a candidate at Florida, as well.
Ryan Silverfield, Memphis Head Coach (+900)
Ryan Silverfield has been the head coach in charge of the Memphis Tigers since 2025. He has had a lot of success with the Tigers, but could consider leaving to join the Razorbacks.
Jeff Traylor, UTSA Head Coach (+1200)
The head coach of the UTSA Roadrunners is Jeff Traylor, who has been in the role since 2020. Should he want to leave, then Arkansas would be lucky to hire him.

GJ Kinne, Texas State Head Coach (+1500)
GJ Kinne is the head coach for the Texas State Bobcats, having been there since 2025. The Bobcats are a mediocre program, however, and moving to the Razorbacks would be beneficial for his career aspirations.
James Franklin, Former Penn State Head Coach (+1500)
James Franklin was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2014 to 2025, but was fired this season as the team got off to a slow start. With Franklin now free to pursue other opportunities, it makes sense for the Razorbacks to reach out.
PJ Fleck, Minnesota Head Coach (+2000)
PJ Fleck has served as the head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers since 2017. While the team has been successful during his tenure there, it’s still possible he could be considered for this head coach role with Arkansas.
Glenn Schumann, Georgia Defensive Coordinator (+2500)
Glenn Schumann is the DC for the Georgia Bulldogs, but he could be in line for a promotion to college football head coach, and joining a team like Arkansas would be a great opportunity for him.
Bobby Petrino, Arkansas Interim Head Coach (+2500)
Bobby Petrino is currently the interim head coach at Arkansas, and he previously served as the head coach before he was let go due to a scandal in 2012. While he will be considered for the job, it feels more likely that Arkansas will look for a new voice to guide its team.

Barry Odom, Purdue Head Coach (+3000)
Barry Odom is in his first season as the head coach of the Purdue Boilermakers. The team has gotten off to a rough start this year, so perhaps he could look to change jobs this offseason.
Dan Mullen, UNLV Head Coach (+5000)
Dan Mullen is currently in his first season as the head coach of the UNLV Rebels. UNLV is rolling right now, but Mullen could be coaxed into changing jobs if the money were right. Mullen had strong tenures in the SEC with both Mississippi State and Florida (compared to Billy Napier at UF).

The Razorbacks’ head coaching gig is highly coveted, so expect a wide-ranging job search, which means the field is in play to be hired for the job.
