NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Taylor Swift Finance In Super Bowl Rematch

Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes meet in Super Bowl rematch this week. (USA TODAY)

The NFL slotted the Super Bowl 57 and 59 rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles for Week 2. It headlines our Week 2 NFL Best Bets.

Given that any game featuring the previous Super Bowl’s combatants provides ratings gold, the NFL’s decision to offer this game in Week 2 and not during the all-important November ratings period is a tell as to what the great minds on Park Avenue think of the odds for a rematch in Super Bowl 60.

Oddsmakers price a Chiefs-Eagles rematch at +2200. That’s still the No. 3 pick in the “Names The Finalist” market.

The Eagles lost significant talent this past offseason – mainly due to free agency. The Chiefs, meanwhile, saw their defensive front badly exposed by the Eagles’ running game and  Jalen Hurts’ ability to keep plays alive in Philly’s 40-22 SB59 romp.

2025-26 NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Game-By-Game Analysis

Caleb Williams gets another shot at the Detroit Lions this week. (USA TODAY)

Thursday, September 11
Washington Commanders at Green Bay Packers, 8:15 p.m. (Amazon Prime)

Buzz: NFL sophomore QB Jayden Daniels draws a difficult road test in Week 2. But he’ll have a very rich and happy Terry McLaurin catching the ball. Both teams reached the playoffs last year. This is the sort of game that could well end up determining home field if these teams end up meeting as wild cards in the playoffs. The Commanders carry the oldest roster in the NFL this season. Packers own the youngest – boosted my Micah Parsons. His acquisition and Green Bay's win over Detroit moved this line a 2-points in Green Bay’s favor.

Best Bet: Packers -3.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Sunday, September 14
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: This NFL Week 2 Best Bets schedule features 5 intra-divisional matchups among our Week 2 NFL picks. This one carries the most weight, especially with Detroit's loss in Week 1. If the Bears want to assert their claim on the NFC North – this is the place to start. Detroit swept Chicago last season straight up but split against the line. This number is significantly tighter than both games last season – a nod to the Bears’ offseason upgrades via the draft and free-agency. Chicago leans fully into QB Caleb Williams this season. He’ll have time more time throw or take off on his own, but he was 34th last season in passing from a clean pocket. The Lions face their former OC Ben Johnson, now coaching the Bears. Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson returns from a season-ending injury suffered in Week 6 last year and aims to make Johnson’s return to Detroit miserable. Locked in early.

Best Bet: Lions -4.5 (-115) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The bags may be out at MetLife given that this could be the Jets’ second straight home loss to open the season. Gang Green was tormented by Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh Sunday. The Bills soar into East Rutherford off their "won for the ages" comeback against Baltimore. The Josh Allen Magic is real. It’s “Super Bowl Or Bust” time for Josh Allen and Buffalo this season. No. Seriously. We really mean it this time. Really. We'll sweat the under hear after both teams combined for 73 points in Week 1.

Best Bet: Under 47.5 Points at DraftKings via OddsJam

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: These 2 fickle felines end up kicking kitty litter when playoff time arrives. The Bengals own a notorious reputation for terrible starts and late-but-unsuccessful surges in the season. This is the sort of game the Bengals need if they don’t want to be in a deep pit around Thanksgiving. The Jaguars put the “mid” in middle of the road. Sunday's outcomes shaved 2 points off this number. We'll take it. The Jags’ defense won’t be able to keep pace with Cincy if Joe Burrow finds any sort of rhythm against a porous secondary.

Best Bet: Bengals -3.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: We won’t put Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer in the hot seat yet – unless the Cowboys somehow struggle against Big Blue. At least Schottenheimer -  who is coaching the Cowboys this season after Mike McCarthy was finally put out of his misery after last season – doesn’t begin the season atop the “First Coach To Be Fired” list. That honor belongs to NY’s Brian Daboll. The Daniel Jones Show opened for Indy last week. QB Russell Wilson leads the Giants into Jerry World. The total on this game seems terribly overpriced here among our NFL Week 2 picks. It’s hard to see BOTH teams scoring 3 TDs here. Even with Micah Parsons in Green Bay.

Best Bet: Under 44.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

LA Rams at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Tennessee QB and No. 1 overall draft pick Cam Ward makes his home debut and will be protected by an overhauled offensive line. He catches the Rams in an early-for-them start. The Titans’ defensive strength is up front. And Matt Stafford does struggle under pressure. He turned the ball over while pressured 14 times last season – tied for most in the league. Stafford carries the best assortment of wideouts in the NFL – given the arrival of Davante Adams and his in-home Taco Bell for Cooper Kupp. The Titans defense determines the outcome of this game. They’ll pressure Stafford just enough to keep and close and score the cover.

Best Bet: Titans +5.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: A Week 2 “weather” game in the Sunshine State. The Patriots historically struggle in Miami in day games both early and late in the season due to hot and humid Florida weather and the sun on the visitors’ side of the field at Hard Rock Stadium. Something to think about in our NFL Week 2 Best Bets. Both teams were terrible in Week 1. But the Dolphins were far more terrible then the Patriots. New England should lean more into the run and should be able to disrupt Tua enough to keep it close. We’ll lean into the under here given New England’s focus on ball control and defense.

Best Bet: Under 44.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The Saints rode the Drew Brees train for 15 years. In the 5 years since, they’ve used 8 different starting QBs.  Spencer Rattler emerged from the QB room wreckage to nab the QB 1 spot this presseason (he started 6 games last season). Injuries ravaged the 49ers in 2024. This year’s team eyes a return to the Super Bowl. The 49ers whiffed this offseason in terms of free-agency and the draft, but they’re happy to reload with the core that got hurt last season. Mac Jones gets the call for the injured Brock Purdy. The sliced the number on this game in more-than-half from 6.5 points to 3. Still, what's left of the 49ers team should score a win and cover against the CFL Saints.

Best Bet: 49ers -3 (-108) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Aaron Rodgers makes his home debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers in another marquee game among our NFL Week 2 Best Bets. The Acrisure Stadium crowd should be fully lubricated come kickoff.Mike Tomlin let A-Rod free lance Sunday and it worked. Rodgers will test his limits and that of the Seahawks’ secondary. This may the surprise offensive shootout of the week. Especially with Pittsburgh WR D.K. Metcalf going up against his former teammates.

Best Bet: Over 40.5 Points (-110) at Ceasars Sportsbook via OddsJam

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Everything that happened in Week 1 tells us this line is crazy high. All the more reason to back the home team. The Ravens blew a 15-point lead in the final 8:34 against Buffalo Sunday night. The Browns' stout defense kept them in it against Cincinnati until the gun Sunday. Another Baltimore homecoming for Joe Flacco. The reeling Ravens won’t be talking prisoners this week. Naturally, the Browns upset Baltimore in 2024, winning outright as 7.5-point underdogs. The Ravens found balance with a 25-point win home over Cleveland in Week 18, covering an improbable 19.5-point line. Think 21-7 ish.

Best Bet: Ravens -11.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The Colts ride high into Week 2 with Daniel Jones holding the QB reins after a 33-8 rout of the Dolphins at Lucas Oil Stadium. Bo Nix offers strong upside potential for the fantasy and/or prop crowd this week. Denver's defense delivers this week as this Indiana Jones sequel flops at the box office.

Best Bet: Broncos -2.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: This may be the least-watched NFL game since the merger. Not only is it limited to just the Carolina and Arizona markets, but it’s also going up against the Super Bowl rematch and Taylor Swift. Bettors can shake it off and take the Panthers and the points. The number moved 2 points in Arizona's favor after Sunday. The Panthers can be sneak good on the number here.

Best Bet: Panthers +6.5 (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs, 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: An 0-2 start for the Chiefs!?!? What will Roger Goodell do? Our NFL Week 2 Best Bets main event delivers the defending Super Bowl champions in a rematch at Kansas City, complete with Taylor Swift rooting for her betrothed Travis Kelce and Tom Brady breaking it down in the FOX booth. The Eagles remains stacked, despite being drained by free agency, especially on defense, and losing their OC to the Saints. The NFL scheduling this game in Week 2 – as opposed the prime spot on the Sunday before Thanksgiving – is a tell that Park Avenue has little faith in a Super Bowl rematch this season. KC went 12-0 in one-score games last season but is 0-1 this year. This number flipped after KC's loss Friday. The NFL always knows.

Best Bet: Eagles ML (-120) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: A natty rematch of sorts. Two QBs taken in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft take center stage in prime time. Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. continues his first season as QB of the present and future. But the Falcons still can't beat Tampa Bay. The Falcons’ defense has even more to prove. J.J. McCarthy's rookie campaign ended before it began in training camp last season. He finally found his game in the 4th quarter Monday night. The Vikings defense behind Brian Flores tips the scales for the home team.

Best Bet: Vikings -3.5 (-108) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Monday, September 15
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans, 7 p.m. (ABC/ESPN)

Buzz: Houston QB C.J. Stroud took the second-most sacks in the NFL last season and will be on the run again this week given the troubles that remain on the Texans’ offensive line. Houston needs to get its special teams right if it hopes to compete against Tampa Bay this week and contend down the stretch. The Buccaneers have not missed the postseason since acquiring Tom Brady in 2020. Baker Mayfield leads a veteran Tampa Bay team that will go as far as its defense will allow. (See Week 1.) This week, that means an upset win on the road at Houston.

Best Bet: Buccaneers ML (+114) at DraftKings via OddsJam

Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders, 10 p.m. (ESPN)

Buzz: Tom Brady may be walking through the door in Las Vegas, but he won’t be in uniform. Both teams won their opener. The Bolts can go tp 2-0 in the AFC West with a win here.

Best Bet: Chargers -3 (+110) at DraftKings via OddsJam
