NFL Week 3 Best Bets: Lions Visit Ravens In Super Bowl 60 Preview?

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are among the Super Bowl favorites again this season. (USA TODAY)

Our NFL Week 3 Best Bets offer a potential Super Bowl 60 matchup Monday.

Two of the league’s most frustrated fan bases tune into ESPN to watch the Detroit Lions visit the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams have flirted with Super Bowl berths in recent years. And they’ve absorbed big money in futures markets.

But both regressed last season in terms of playoff performance. Neither got out of the divisional round. The Lions got waxed at home by the Commanders. The Ravens could not escape the Bills in what was a regular-season rematch.

The Ravens and Bills are co-favorites to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings at +600. The Lions fell into the third tier at +1400.

A sneaky good playoff rematch slots in the 1 p.m. window as the Rams return to Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles clipped the Rams in the Divisional Round last January in the cold and snow. The weather will be on LA’s side this time.

NFL Week 3 Best Bets Begin In Buffalo Thursday

Our NFL Week 3 Best Bets begin with the Bills and Dolphins at Orchard Park, N.Y., on Thursday night. At 1 p.m. there are nine games in the early Sunday window. The Cowboys visit Chicago in the FOX national game at 4:25 p.m.

Patrick Mahomes, Taylor Swift and the Chiefs visit East Rutherford, N.J. for a meeting with Big Blue Sunday night on NBC.

NFL Week 3 Best Bets: Game-By-Game Breakdown

Bills Mafia serves as a gracious host for those teams visiting Buffalo. (USA TODAY)

Thursday, September 18, 2025

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills, 8:15 p.m. (Prime Video)

Buzz: Buffalo opened as 8.5-point favorites. This number skyrocketed after the Bills rolled to another easy AFC East win over Gang Green, and the Dolphins imploded at Hard Rock Stadium agains New England. Buffalo could win this one by 30. And just might.

Best Bet: Bills -12.5 (-110) ESPN BET

Green Bay Packers at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: This would have been a banger in 1965. The Packers rolled on Thursday against Washington and the Browns got rolled 41-17 by the Ravens. This number slid from 43.5 to 41.5. Think 28-10ish Green Bay. But we locked it in at 43.5

Best Bet: Under 43.5 (-110) ESPN BET

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Indiana Jones and the Colts stunned the Broncos on a last-second field goal Sunday and enter this week at 2-0. Tennessee showed little against the Rams in Week 2. Has Danny Dimes turned into Danny Dollars? We believe.

Best Bet: Colts -3 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Cincinnati Bengals at Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The loss of Joe Burrow indefinitely to an injury Sunday added 4 points to this number. Jake Browning served as the late-game savior and delivered a win and cover (-3.5) for Cincy in its win over Jacksonville. Both teams lean into a ball-control game.

Best Bet: Under 44.5 Points (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The Patriots celebrate former coach Bill Parcells at halftime. Mike Vrabel earned his first win as Patriots head coach Sunday in Miami, as the Patriots won by not making as many mistakes as the woeful Dolphins. Drake Maye was 2 when Aaron Rodgers took his first NFL snap. A-Rod and the Steelers got thrashed 31-17 Sunday at home by the Seahawks. Maye gets his break-through win as home underdog.

Best Bet: Patriots +1.5 (-115) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

LA Rams at Philadelphia, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The Rams fell short in the snow last season at Philly during the playoffs. LA should fare better this time in the late summer climate. The Eagles struggle to cover at home. (To wit: A 24-20 win over Dallas (+8.5) in the opener.) And they're coming off a Super Bowl 59.5 win over the Chiefs. Hold your breath and ride with Matt Stafford.

Best Bet: LA Rams +4.5 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

New York Jets at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1 p.m. (FOX

Buzz: “Fire The Cannons!” Here comes the cannon fodder. Baker and the Boys will open it up on Gang Green.

Best Bet: Buccaneers -7 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Las Vegas Raiders at Washington Commanders, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The Raiders carry solid players up front but lack depth. The Commanders have the highest average roster age this season of all 32 NFL teams but are coming off the mini-bye and a Thursday night loss. The Raiders' defense is stacked up front. Jayden Daniels could be in for a slog.

Best Bet: Raiders +6.5 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Unfortunately, these teams play each other twice a year. There are leaves to be raked.

Best Bet: Panthers -1.5 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Houston at Jacksonville, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: All 4 AFC South teams play each other this week. The winner here will hold serve early in the divisional race. It’s still September in Florida. That means heat and humidity, especially for the Texans, who are used to playing in a climate-controlled environment.

Best Bet: Jaguars +1.5 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Denver at Los Angeles Chargers, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Sean Payton's defense looked like a rider-less horse against Daniel Jones and the Colts. This game offers a nice bounce-back feel for the Broncos. Devner's loss added a point to this number. Especially against a familiar division foe.

Best Bet: Broncos +2.5 (-115) at DraftKings via OddsJam

New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Sam Darnold vs. Spencer Rattler. This is why we watch.

Best Bet: Seahawks -7.5 (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers, 4:15 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Stepping in for the injured Brock Purdy, Mac Jones threw for 279 yards and 3 TD against the Saints. The Cardinals whiffed on the 6.5-point line by held on to beat the Panthers Sunday. The "Return of the Mac" continues with a win for the home team.

Best Bet: 49ers +1.5 (-115) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears, 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Dak and the 'Boys outllasted the Giants 40-37 in a wild one Sunday. Giants QB Russell Wilson tore up the Dallas secondary for 450 yards and 3 TDs. Dallas DC Matt Eberflus can't do any worse in his homecoming back to Chicago than Bears HC Ben Johnson did in his return to Detroit Sunday. The Bears lost that one 52-21. This time, Dak spreads the wealth for the road upset this time. Tom Brady calls this one for FOX.

Best Bet: Cowboys +1.5  (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Kansas City Chiefs at New York Giants, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)

Buzz: Both versions of Taylor Swift’sWelcome To New York” have amassed more than 425 million streams on Spotify. Her follow up - “Lost In East Rutherford” - has 127. Taylor was a no-show Sunday in Kansas City as the Chiefs lost their 3rd straight (including 2 to Philly going back to the Super Bowl.) Her betrothed had a TD turned into an pick courtesy of the Eagles stingy defense. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs went 12-0 in one-score games last season. They are 0-2. Steve Spagnuolo defense will dial up the pressure to 11 on Russell Wilson, whose efficiency decreases markedly when on the move.

Best Bet: Chiefs -5.5  (-110) at ESPN BET via OddsJam

Monday, September 22
Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)

Buzz: The NFL’s version of “Bridesmaids” features 2 teams that never return the love they get in preseason conference champion and Super Bowl markets. Still, this could be a Super Bowl 60 preview. The Lions own the best record of any NFL team ATS combined over the past 3 seasons. They scored 52 and beat Chicago by 31 points Sunday. Meanwhile, the Ravens toppled Baltimore 41-17. It's difficult to bite kneecaps on the road, outdoors, and in prime time. Lean into the under here after the Week 2 fireworks.

Best Bet: Under 51.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings via OddsJam
