The True Cost of an NHL Game in 2025: Tickets, Parking, Beer & Hot Dogs at Every Arena

Everything is getting more expensive for families these days, and that’s especially true in the entertainment sector. But the NHL has done a better job than most musical acts, and certainly the NFL, in keeping things more affordable.
Bookies.com has calculated the cost of attending NHL games at each arena for the 2025-26 season. On average, families will spend $304.01 on four of the cheapest available tickets, a parking spot, two beers, two sodas and four hot dogs at an arena this winter.
The NHL costs are on par with what it costs a family of four to attend an average NBA game last year ($320.31) which has around the same number of home games per team. The cost is higher than going to an average MLB game ($208) and way, way under the cost of going to an NFL game ($777.89).
Traditional blue bloods and Canadian teams lead the charts. The Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins sky over most of the rest of the league, ranging from $466 to $447 in cost. Aside from the Rangers and Bruins, five of the top seven most-expensive nights out are north of the border.
Ironically, the cheapest team is also in Canada – the Ottawa Senators cost just $182.86 for a family of four, the only team under $200. Here is the full list from Bookies.com so you know where your team stands:
Cost Of Attending NHL Game In 2025-26
Cheapest Available NHL Ticket
Tickets make up most of the cost of attending an NHL game. Getting tickets to some games is very easy, but for others it’s far more difficult.
We took the cheapest available tickets (4) for home games, only going through official sources such as TicketMaster and SeatGeek. Those tickets were then averaged out for one cost. The tickets used for the formula were for those available as of Sept. 29, 2025.
The Maple Leafs edged out the Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers for the priciest tickets in the land. A foursome can expect to spend $380 at Scotiabank Arena.
Seeing the Ottawa Senators ($120 for four tickets) and Columbus Blue Jackets ($128) are far more modest for NHL costs.
Lot Parking
Unlike most NFL and MLB stadiums, many NHL arenas don’t have official parking lots or ramps (though they might have NHL betting odds available as either an online or retail option). But most of these facilities are downtown in a major city, offering several available locations to park. Or, in some cases, almost none.
It is perhaps no surprise that Rangers games – located at Madison Square Garden in the heart of Manhattan – was the priciest parking spot. Boston and Toronto weren’t far behind. It’s roughly one-third the cost to find parking for Buffalo Sabres or Dallas Stars games, just $10 within a reasonable walking distance.
Beer & Soda
We took beer prices and converted them all to a 16-ounce size. After doing so, one can really see a dramatic difference in cost, depending on your venue.
Beers in Boston are over $18 apiece, just ahead of Panthers games in Miami (actually Sunrise) at $16. The same beverage is under $10 at six NHL arenas and especially affordable up north, with Edmonton, Montreal and Vancouver the cheapest.
Soda has its own volatility in prices, but less so than the over-21 options. Kings and Chicago Blackhawks games rank 1-2 in soda costs, at over $10 apiece. That’s more than double the price than in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Ottawa.
Hot Dogs
Hot dogs are expensive in South Florida. Four dogs at a Panthers game will cost about $40, the highest among NHL arenas. L.A. Kings and Anaheim Ducks games are just one dollar less per dog.
Meanwhile, northern Canada must have a surplus compared to L.A. and South Beach. They’re under $5 each in Ottawa.
The Panthers are favored at NHL betting sites to three-peat as Stanley Cup champions in the 2025-26 season.
