Then 2025 NFL season officially kicks off on Thursday night, as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles begin defense of their Super Bowl championship by hosting Dak Prescott and the rival Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles are third on most NFL Super Bowl futures odds, tops among NFC teams but behind the Bills and Ravens of the AFC. The Cowboys aren’t a team that rebuilds, but oddsmakers believe this isn’t going to be the best of seasons in Big D (+7000 odds to win the Super Bowl, compared to +700 for Philly).

According to this analyst, the Eagles are the most complete team in football and begin defense of their championship against a Cowboys team on the downswing who Philly beat last season by scores of 34-6 and 41-7.

Last season, the Eagles were shocked by the Falcons in their home opener. Expect that to be a motivational tool. For the Cowboys, the trade of Micah Parsons is going to be felt right away. Cowboys vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay

1. Eagles -6.5 (-150): The current spread of 8.5 is playable, but for a parlay, we’ll buy a few points and push it down, giving us the key number just below a TD and XP.

2. DeVonta Smith, Anytime TD (+180): The Cowboys have a shutdown corner in DaRon Bland. He played in one game vs. Philly last season and limited A.J. Brown to an extent. Smith, meanwhile, gained 120 yards and scored two TDs.
