The Carling Goal of the Season award is set to be announced after this weekend's final round of Premier League games and Crystal Palace's Andros Townsend is the clear favourite to pick up the prize.
There have been some stunning strikes in an unforgettable 2018/19 Premier League season, but from the 10 goals shortlisted Townsend's thunderbolt in Palace's shock win over Manchester City in December is 888Sport’s 6/4 (+140) favourite for the award.
There has been steady money on Townsend's Etihad wonder goal since the betting was opened and it has been backed into 6/4 (+140) from 5/2 (+250) and it is a worthy favourite for the coveted prize.
Next in the betting comes another howitzer from the Etihad in the shape of Vincent Kompany's stunning long-range effort against Leicester, which could prove crucial in the outcome of the title race.
The Belgian's goal has been latched onto by shrewd punters not just because of how good of a goal it was, but also given the context of it with the effort trimmed in from 8/1 (+800) into 4/1 (+400) second favourite for the Goal of the Season.
Fulham have not had an enjoyable season back in the Premier League culminating in relegation straight back to the Championship, but Andre Schurrle's impressive finish against Burnley in January comes next in the betting with the German 5/1 (+500) to have something to celebrate come the end of the season.
It wouldn't be a Goal of the Season award without the skilful Eden Hazard being involved and the Chelsea attacker is a 7/1 (+700) shot to take the honours with his sublime solo effort against London rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge just last month.

Daniel Sturridge may have been used sparingly by Liverpool this season, but he is 11/1 (+1100) to win the award for his stunning long-range finish to earn his side a late point at former club Chelsea in September.
Aaron Ramsey is a 16/1 (+1600) shot to end his stay in the Premier League with the award for his brilliant team goal in Arsenal's success over Fulham way back in October.
South Korean superstar Son Heung-min has enjoyed an outstanding season for Tottenham and is in the running for the prize at 14/1 (+1400) for his superb run and finish in the win over Chelsea in November.
The outsider of the field is Fabian Schar's long-distance strike for Newcastle against Burnley in February which is available at odds of 25/1 (+2500), but it seems Townsend's goal against Manchester City will be hard to beat with money still coming for his memorable effort.
