The Elite Eight doesn't get much bigger than this. UConn and Duke are set for a heavyweight rematch in Washington, D.C. — two blue-blood programs colliding with Final Four dreams on the line, and both dealing with injury headaches in the backcourt that could make or break their runs.

UConn vs. Duke Odds

For the first time all season, UConn (32-5) walks into a game as the underdog. Duke (35-2) has been about as dominant as any team in the country, and their resume backs it up. But this one's far from a formality — the injury report on both sides is too significant to ignore.

Duke's Caleb Foster made a quietly dramatic return against St. John's in the Sweet 16, shaking off a fractured foot to come off the bench and chip in 11 second-half points during their comeback win. He's not 100%, but he's clearly a factor. Center Patrick Ngongba is also available after some foot soreness had raised questions about his status.

UConn's situation feels a bit more precarious. Guard Silas Demary Jr. has gutted his way through the last two games on a banged-up ankle — and hasn't taken a single live practice rep since tweaking it in the Big East Championship. Against Michigan State, he logged just 23 minutes and looked noticeably limited on both ends of the floor. Forward Jaylin Stewart is also questionable, nursing knee discomfort that's been nagging him for several games now.

Duke just looks like the deeper, healthier team right now — and that gap matters in a game like this. Demary is the engine that makes UConn go, and without him operating at full speed, the Huskies' half-court offense becomes a lot easier to defend. Duke's defense is legitimately elite, ranking in the top 10 nationally in adjusted efficiency per KenPom, and UConn's hobbled guards are going to have a hard time creating clean looks against that kind of scheme.

Duke has also shown they know how to handle the neutral-site stage — covering in four of their last five games in that setting this season. A -5.5 line feels very reasonable for a team this complete going up against a UConn squad playing their first game as underdogs all year while clearly banged up.
