The Masters is in the rearview, but the golf season rolls on this week at Harbour Town for the RBC Heritage. The limited-field, no-cut event features Justin Thomas as the defending champion, with Masters runner-up Scottie Scheffler as the heavy favorite.
This golf betting season, Bookies.com continues to provide analysis from a variety of experts across the space, including leans on first round leaders, longshots, top 20s, matchups and much more.

Now let's pick 'em!

RBC Heritage Outrights
Len Hochberg, RotoWire - Scottie Scheffler +370
Scheffler showed last week that he's still Scheffler, as if there were any doubt. And this week he doesn't have to contend with Rory McIlroy. Scheffler knows how close he was to another green jacket last week and that will spur him on this week. It's not hard to envision a comfortable win at a course he won two years ago.
Thomas Leary, Bookies - Jordan Spieth +3000
Ball-striking is there, and has the course history to boot. On a sleepy week after a major, I'll go a little down the board for a past champion in good form.
Jared Kimble, Bookies - Russell Henley +1750
Elite driving accuracy and bogey avoidance on a course where precision is everything — SG:Approach is 3x more impactful than driving here. Coming off a strong Masters weekend and perfectly profiled for Harbour Town's narrow fairways and small greens.
David Rumsey, FOS - Collin Morikawa +2300
Call me crazy, but I think Morikawa can finally get back to 100% this week, after showing his health isn’t as much of a concern as we thought with his T7 finish at the Masters. Morikawa says his back is fine, and it’s just about the mental hurdles at this point. He’s been playing as well as anyone on the PGA Tour this season, and without the injury risk would be an even stronger favorite this week.
Bill Speros, Bookies - Scottie Scheffler +370
Rory McIlroy takes the week off following his second-straight Masters win. But this field remains stacked – starting off with 2024 Heritage winner Scottie Scheffler entering as the favorite. Scheffler played a bogey-free 72 holes at Augusta and fell one shot short of McIlroy. He’s smoking hot. He’s played here three times and has never played a round on this course shooting more than 70. A quick start here -- riding his Masters momentum -- could see him finishing at 20-under.

Top 20 Picks
Len Hochberg, RotoWire - Brian Harman +210
It's hard to get a good number for a top-20 in such a small field. But Harman qualifies, especially with his course history. He was third last year, giving him a fourth career top-10 at Harbour Town and seventh top-25. Harman has not had a great 2025 and usually doesn't play well at the Masters, but he did tie for 33rd this time around.
Thomas Leary, Bookies - Daniel Berger +198
This is nice number on a player who nearly won Bay Hill and was T3 at Harbour Town last year. Tough MC at Augusta that I'm willing to overlook in a limited field this week.
Jared Kimble, Bookies - Brian Harman +210
T3, T12, and T7 in his last three Harbour Town starts — elite course consistency on a no-cut signature event. Lefty accuracy and short game are purpose-built for the smallest greens on tour. Plus money for a three-year course horse is easy value.
David Rumsey, FOS - Justin Thomas +125
The defending RBC Heritage champion isn’t even among the top 15 betting favorites this week. Yes, it’s a strong field as a signature event, but I do like this course fit for Thomas, who has been shaky returning from a back injury this season. His best finish this year was T8 at the Players, which required some similar accuracy off the tee.
Bill Speros, Bookies - Sam Burns +100
Sam Burns managed to not completely fall apart Sunday at Augusta. He played the last grouping with McIlroy and finished 3 shots off the win. He finished T13 here last year and has clearly upped his game.
First Round Leader Picks
Len Hochberg, RotoWire - Maverick McNealy +3800
Let's put aside last week's opening-round 77 at the Masters. McNealy has six other scores of 67 or better on Thursday so far this season. He's third on Tour in Round 1 scoring average. With six top-25s but only one top-10 in 2026, that suggests McNealy's best scores have been heavily front-loaded, making him a viable candidate for FRL.
Thomas Leary, Bookies - Scottie Scheffler +1200
Like Rumsey below, I like this play a lot more than Scheffler at a much shorter outright price. Could tell he was irked coming up a shot short to Rory at Augusta.
Jared Kimble, Bookies - Jordan Spieth +3600
The 2022 Heritage champion finished 5th in SG:Approach at Augusta last week and his creative shotmaking thrives at a course he knows inside and out. Past champion with peaking iron play at +3600 is strong Thursday value
David Rumsey, FOS - Scottie Scheffler +1200
This seems like a nice substitute for picking the World No. 1 to win for a third time at Hilton Head, and with better value. No reason to think he won’t keep his hot streak going after nearly forcing a playoff with Rory McIlroy in Augusta on Sunday.
Bill Speros, Bookies - Justin Thomas +3500
2025 RBC Heritage winner Justin Thomas tied the course record with a 61 last year. He would win in a playoff. Another quick start seems here doesn’t seem unreasonable. Especially at this price.

Longshot Picks
Len Hochberg, RotoWire - Sahith Theegala +8600
Theegala had top-5s here in 2023 and 2024, the latter being a runner-up to Scheffler. Last year wasn't good, but Theegala was injured. Once again, his big weak spot in 2026 is driving accuracy. Not exactly what you're looking for at Harbour Town. But Theegala has the goods to overcome that, ranking top-50 on Tour in SG: Approach, Tee-to-Green, Around-the-Green and Putting.
Thomas Leary, Bookies - Michael Thorbjornsen +8800
Contended at the WM Phoenix Open and was in the final group at The Players, Thor was one of the best players not in the field last week at The Masters. After a missed cut at Valero, he has to be hungry to get back into contention again.
Jared Kimble, Bookies - Ryo Hisatsune +9000
He's made eight straight cuts and posted a T2 at the Farmers and T8 at Pebble Beach earlier this season — both precision courses that reward the same accuracy and iron play Harbour Town demands. His top-10 ranking in SG:Tee-to-Green gives him legitimate contender upside at a price that doesn't reflect his 2026 form.
David Rumsey, FOS - Corey Conners +8800
No disrespect to the Canadian, but Conners winning the RBC would play right into the Masters hangover feel that the event badly wants to avoid. Conners doesn’t have much to show for himself this season, but he did finish T4 in Hilton Head in 2021.
Bill Speros, Bookies - J.T. Poston +8000
J.T. Poston finished T11 here last year at 11-under overall. His last win came in 2024. But he finished 9-under and T21 in his last event -- the Valero Texas Open.
