Seattle Kraken center Shane Wright, who was taken No. 4 overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, has had an up-and-down start to his NHL career. After playing sparingly in his first two seasons, the 22-year-old Canadian broke out last year with 19 goals and 44 points in 79 games. But in the 2025-26 season, Wright has taken a step back with just 18 points through 51 games. That has led to speculation that Wright could be on the move before the March 6 NHL Trade Deadline.

Bookies.com, where we review legal, regulated sports betting apps, has developed Shane Wright's next team odds following reports that the Seattle Kraken are willing to listen to trade offers for the young center.

Seattle Kraken (+120)

The Seattle Kraken might ultimately trade Wright, but we still think he is favored to stay with his current team through this year’s trade deadline. After all, Wright is only 22 and he has the talent and skill to turn things around. Instead of selling low on Wright, the Kraken are likely to keep him and hope that he can bounce back next season.

Heading into Monday's games, Seattle (23-19-9) is tied for the final Western Conference wild-card spot at 55 points. At Caesars Sportsbook, the Kraken have +360 odds to make the playoffs, as opposed to -480 odds to miss the postseason.

Philadelphia Flyers (+450)

The Philadelphia Flyers are our top pick for Wright to be traded by the deadline if the Kraken move on. This past offseason, the Flyers picked up another reclamation project in Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks, and Zegras has had a career turnaround for the Flyers. The team could try to pick up Wright and hope that he also bounces back next season with a new team.

New York Rangers (+750)

The New York Rangers are last in the NHL’s Eastern Conference, and the team has admitted it is retooling its roster. The Rangers will surely trade several of their high-priced veterans, such as Artemi Panarin, ahead of the deadline. The franchise could bring in younger players, such as Wright, to rebuild the roster.

Los Angeles Kings (+800)

The Los Angeles Kings are another team that could target Wright in a trade. The Kings are currently fighting with the Kraken for a Wild Card spot in the NHL’s Western Conference, so it would make more sense for the Kraken to trade Wright somewhere else. But if the Kings have the best offer on the table, the Kraken have to at least listen. Los Angeles has -275 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook to qualify for the postseason.

Vancouver Canucks (+950)

The Vancouver Canucks are currently the league’s worst team and are in the midst of a rebuild. The Canucks should be looking to acquire young players, especially those who could bounce back in a situation where development takes precedence over winning. That might make Vancouver the perfect destination for a reclamation project such as Wright.

The Field (+900)

Wright has been a disappointment this season, but he is still only halfway through his fourth NHL season. That’s why The Field (any team other than the ones we have listed) is a viable option for a trade. Rival teams likely will at least check in with the Kraken to see the price he would bring in a trade. It is an interesting name to watch for NHL betting customers.
