The outcome of this year's State of Origin has already been decided with Queensland leading the three-game series 2-0 after wins in Adelaide and Brisbane. New South Wales enter Game 3 with only pride to play for, and this year's squad of players and coaches will not want to be the first team to be whitewashed since 2010 when Queensland won the shield 3-0.

The State of Origin is the pinnacle of rugby league, where team-mates put aside their club comradeship to represent the state where their career began. Queensland have dominated the series in recent times with the Maroons winning the shield in 14 of the last 18 years.

There is no such thing as a meaningless game in the State of Origin where pride is paramount. Players will continue to put their bodies on the line to show they deserve to be considered for next year's series. New Zealand betting sites have Queensland as favourites to wrap up a 3-0 series win, but New South Wales will be cheered on by a passionate home support to avoid the whitewash.

Billy Slater lit up the State of Origin as a Queensland player, and he has enhanced his reputation by winning back-to-back State of Origins as head coach. Brad Fittler was another player who raised his game in the series, but his time as Blues head coach looks to be coming to an end, after winning three series in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

The State of Origin provides plenty of drama and excitement, and that is reflected in the betting markets, so if you have any free bet offers to use, why not try them on this year's Game 3.

State of Origin Game 3 Odds

Before this year's State of Origin got started, it was billed as one of the closest series in recent years. New South Wales were slight favourites with leading Australia betting sites, however, Queensland were the reigning champions. New South Wales were confident of winning the shield back, but injury to centre Latrell Mitchell weakened New South Wales for Game 1. Trailing 10-6 at half-time, the Blues were leading with six minutes only to concede two late tries to lose 26-18.

Game 2 was done and dusted after 50 minutes with the Maroons ahead 20-0. Queensland wrapped up the series after a 32-6 win, which saw the Maroons' Reece Walsh and the Blues' Jarome Luai sent off in the final stages.

With the outcome of the series already decided, Game 3 should be an open match with both sides going all out to win for different reasons. The Maroons want to win the series 3-0 while New South Wales are out to save face and restore a bit of pride to the blue jumper.

bet365 Enhanced Odds

Queensland are favourites to win this year's State of Origin Game 3 and complete a 3-0 series win. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is the leading try scorer in this year's series with three, two in the opener and one in Game 2. bet365 is offering 9/2 from 15/4 for Queensland to be the first team to 10 points, Queensland to win and Tabuai-Fidow to score the first try in Game 3.

William Hill Enhanced Odds

Queensland are favourites to win and complete a 3-0 whitewash. The Maroons were the last team to do so in a State of Origin series back in 2010. They have scored 26 and 32 points in each of the first two games while New South Wales scored 18 points in the opener. With the series win already sorted, both teams can play with a bit more freedom. William Hill is offering 5/1 from 4/1 on Queensland to win the match and both teams to score 20 points or more.
