How We Did It - Methodology

All 30 MLB teams were researched for their most outrageous or unhealthy concession available

during the 2026 season. Each team’s primary item was scored across three dimensions:

1. Creativity — How conceptually bizarre the item is (1–10)

2. Size/Portion — Sheer scale or volume and yes, bigger is better (1–10);

3. Caloric Intensity — Estimated caloric density based on ingredients and USDA comparable data (1–10)

These three scores form a Base Score (max 30). Teams with additional verified 2026 outrageous items at the same stadium earned Bonus Points (+2 per extra item), added to produce the final Adjusted Score. One item was selected per team. All items verified through team press releases, local news, and MLB.com
