Defensive end Trey Hendrickson is positioned to be one of the headline pass rushers of the 2026 NFL offseason, and the big question is whether the Cincinnati Bengals are willing to pay the steep franchise-tag number to keep him – or risk losing him outright. Recent reporting has suggested the tag cost is massive and that there’s real uncertainty about Cincinnati going that route, which keeps several win-now defenses in play.

With Hendrickson potentially hitting the free-agent market, Bookies.com has put together next team odds for where he could wind up.

Trey Hendrickson 2026 Team Odds

Cincinnati Bengals (+275)

Hendrickson has been with the Cincinnati Bengals since 2021, making four Pro Bowls during that time and being a first-team All-Pro in 2024. But after a contract dispute with the Bengals, there are certainly hard feelings here between the player and the team. There are mechanisms to keep Hendrickson in Cincinnati, but they are not overwhelming favorites to keep him.

Baltimore Ravens (+450)

The Baltimore Ravens have been terrorized by Hendricks for the past five seasons, as he has been a member of the divisional rival Bengals. With the Bengals now having a new head coach in Jesse Minter, who favors defense, they could look to free agency to shore up their offensive line. If Hendrickson does hit the free-agent market, he would be a great fit in Baltimore.

Chicago Bears (+600)

The Chicago Bears had a huge season as they made it to the playoffs for the first time in several years. They beat the Green Bay Packers in an incredible comeback in the Wild Card round before giving the Los Angeles Rams a run for their money in an excellent Divisional Round game. The Bears will be looking to make the Super Bowl this year, and getting Hendrickson to pair with Montez Sweat and the other Bears’ defensive standouts would be a huge move for them.

Washington Commanders (+650)

The Washington Commanders went to the NFC Championship Game last year, but they failed to make the playoffs this season after QB Jayden Daniels was injured for much of the year. Changes are coming for the Commanders, and perhaps they could look to improve their defensive line. If that’s the case, then bringing in Hendrickson would be huge for them.

Detroit Lions (+800)

The Detroit Lions missed the playoffs this season and will surely be looking to make some improvements this offseason, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Acquiring someone like Hendrickson, who is one of the NFL’s top sack artists, would be a big move for the Lions.

The Field (any other team) (+500)

Hendrickson is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, so if he does hit free agency, then The Field will be a viable option to get him, as most teams in the league could use him. While Hendrickson did have a down year, he has been one of the league’s top defensive linemen for several years now, so we expect him to get serious interest on the free-agent market.
