Turner Sports announced on Thursday multi-year agreements with FanDuel and DraftKings for sports betting content and integrations.

FanDuel’s announcement with Turner Sports designates FanDuel as the exclusive NBA betting sportsbook partner for NBA programming on Turner Sports properties, according to a news release. It will also include content integrations Turner’s Bleacher Report.

The arrangement gives FanDuel access to exclusive integrations within NBA content, including TNT live telecasts and Bleacher Report digital channels including the B/R app.

“Turner Sports is a leader in the media industry and, together, we’re bringing viewership to the next level by offering exclusive sports betting content that’s directly integrated into their NBA programming,” Mike Raffensperger, chief marketing officer for FanDuel Group, said in the news release. “We’ll be incorporating FanDuel Sportsbook odds and analysis into Turner Sport’s live broadcasts and Bleacher Report’s digital content, offering a new, enhanced, experience for NBA fans.”

The partnership between FanDuel and Turner Sports was seen during this year’s NBA Playoffs, integrating odds from FanDuel’s Sportsbook during TNT’s Inside The NBA studio show. It also had promotional integrations during live NBA games and across Bleacher Report channels.

Inside The NBA debuted the FanDuel Sportsbook Odds Board, which featured discussions related to the odds and betting percentages for NBA games.

Another NBA Deal

International Game Technology (IGT) and the NBA announced a multi-year betting partnership on Wednesday. IGT becomes the first business-to-business sports betting platform provider in U.S. to bring NBA official data, marks and logos to regional casinos and sportsbooks, according to a news release.

FanDuel’s odds for the 2021 NBA Champion and the upcoming NBA Draft have already been posted as the Lakers are currently the favorite to win the 2021 NBA Finals at +360, followed closely by the Clippers (+450), Bucks (+600), and Nets (+1000).

The NBA Finals ended Sunday with the Lakers beating the Miami Heat in six games. It was the culmination of a season that had a lengthy delay because of the coronavirus pandemic. The NBA hopes to start the 2020-21 around Christmas or early in January 2021.

DraftKings & Turner

Under the DraftKings deal, DraftKings will provide sports betting information and daily fantasy content across Turner Sports telecasts of MLB, PGA Tour and other sporting events and Bleacher Report digital channels including the B/R app, according to a news release. The deal does not include NBA programming.

Turner also has broadcast rights with the NCAA, so it’s possible that college basketball betting information could be included if the NCAA decides to allow it in the future.

Future integrations could include custom content segments, DraftKings’ betting odds and daily fantasy statistics, original content, personalized automated alerts and editorial across B/R channels including the B/R Betting vertical.

“Regulated betting is quickly becoming a fixture of modern sports entertainment, and this collaboration with Turner Sports further scales the reach of our products and content to engage fans,” Ezra Kucharz, chief business officer for DraftKings, said in a news release. “Turner Sports platforms provide exceptional content as they continually captivate sports audiences. Their medium aligns with the DraftKings’ brand and we look forward to delivering a seamless experience for readers and viewers while also broadening our visibility.”
