Looking ahead to next week? Check out NFL Week 6 odds and breakdown of every game.

For those who like offense, NFL Week 5 odds feature some games worth circling. The main event comes on Sunday Night Football, as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs host Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

Combined, the teams average 62 points per game. The Bills alone have scored 88 over the past two weeks. While Buffalo’s defensive stats are aided with a shutout thrashing of the Dolphins in Week 2, Kansas City has allowed 31.7 ppg, tied with Detroit for the most in the league. It promises to be on everyone’s NFL betting radar.

A showdown between Baker Mayfield, the top-ranked run offense and the Browns against Justin Herbert and the aerial assault of the Chargers, and Aaron Rodgers’ Packers hosting Joe Burrow’s Bengals could keep the ball moving, as well.

Don’t make your NFL picks before reading our analysis and checking all of the NFL odds listed below. We will also track NFL Week 5 odds, movements and more.

Thursday, Oct. 7

Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) at Seattle Seahawks, 8:20 p.m. ET

The week starts with a huge NFC West matchup. Matthew Stafford was outdueled by Kyler Murray in Week 4, and the Rams took their first loss of the season. The defense didn’t have much answer for Murray and the Cards, but the Rams have beaten the Seahawks in six of the last eight meetings, including in last year’s NFC Divisional Round, and have covered in four of the last five meetings.

The Seahawks were statistically dominated by the 49ers in Week 4, but two turnovers and the magic of Russell Wilson was the difference in a 28-21 road win. Seattle is now 3-1, and Wilson has nine TDs and has yet to throw an INT.

Sunday, Oct. 10

New York Jets at Atlanta Falcons (-2.5), 9:30 a.m.

Zach Wilson’s first three games were a mess, with seven INTs and two TDs. But what a game he had Sunday vs. the Titans, passing for 307 yards, two TDs and just one INT in a 27-24 OT win, getting New York its first victory. A 10th-ranked defense bent but didn’t break vs. Derrick Henry, offering a boost of confidence.

After allowing 32 and 48 points in their first two weeks, the Falcons surrendered 14 in a three-point win at the Giants. But they allowed 34 to Washington and were outscored 21-13 in the second half of a 34-30 home loss in Week 4. Matt Ryan had his best game, however (283 yards, four TDs), and Atlanta may have realized a legit No. 2 WR in Cordarrelle Patterson, who had three TDs vs. Washington.

Take a look at Jets vs Falcons odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Tennessee Titans (-4.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m.

Titans fans should be concerned about a defense that allowed 27 points in a loss to a Jets team that hadn’t done anything prior to Sunday. At least the Titans offense has found its recipe for success, and it revolves around Derrick Henry, who averaging roughly 32 carries for 150 yards the last three weeks.

The Jaguars are still trying to find success. The run game is averaging nearly 5.0 yards per carry but through four weeks Jacksonville had 32 fewer attempts than its opponents. The defense is allowing 300-plus pass yards per game.

Green Bay Packers (-2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m.

Green Bay’s No. 9-ranked defense corralled the Steelers’ skill players, and Aaron Rodgers did his thing for the third game in a row in a Week 4 27-17 home win over the Steelers. Rodgers has eight TDs and no INTs in the last three Packers games, all wins.

The Bengals defense has been a nice surprise, shutting down the Bears and Steelers in consecutive weeks. The offense, when it plays average, has been enough to get the Bengals wins. At home, Cincy has covered the spread in five of its last seven. Betting sites have the Bengals as narrow underdogs in early NFL Week 5 spreads.

Take a look at Packers vs Bengals odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Philadelphia Eagles at Carolina Panthers(-3), 1 p.m.

The Eagles have allowed 6, 17 and 41 and now 42 points in their four games. Jalen Hurts was sensational in Week 4 vs. the Chiefs with 387 pass yards and two TDs and another team-high 47 yards on the ground. Too many FGs and not enough TDs was the difference in a 42-30 home loss. The offense may have fewer open looks this week.

It’s not often a defense ranks No. 1 against both the run and the pass, but that is where the Panthers stood through three weeks. But they were crushed for 432 yards, including 244 on the ground, in a 36-28 loss to the Cowboys. The defense should a big boost in Week 6 after Carolina traded for All-Pro CB Stephon Gilmore from the Patriots.

Take a look at Eagles vs Panthers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Denver Broncos (-1.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers, 1 p.m.

Teddy Bridgewater suffered a concussion in Week 4 vs. the Ravens, and it didn’t go well after that in a 23-7 home loss, their first of the season. Drew Lock took over and was an OK 11-of-18 but for just 103 yards. The run game was a bright spot (107 yards, 6.3 average), but it was abandoned. This is a QB situation to keep an eye on this week.

Pittsburgh’s season-opening win at Buffalo seems like a long time ago. Since then, they’ve lost at home to the Raiders and Bengals and were mostly handled in a 27-17 loss at Green Bay in Week 4. The offense ranks among the worst at rushing the ball and Ben Roethlisberger has not been sharp.

Take a look at Broncos vs Steelers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings (-10), 1 p.m.

Detroit is now 0-4 with Jared Goff at QB, but it’s hard to blame him. He had another good game vs. the Bears, throwing for 286 yards and two TDs, but coaching errors and brutal red zone efficiency led to a 24-14 loss at Chicago. Detroit got inside the 20 three times in the first half alone and didn’t score. The defense was gashed for 200-plus yards on the ground – not a good trend with Dalvin Cook waiting.

Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offense moved the ball and scored points through three weeks, but they were on the wrong side of a 14-7 home loss vs. the Browns. The defense finally did its part in Week 3 in an impressive 30-17 win over the Seahawks. Cousins and Cook should find more chances here. Minnesota has won seven straight in this NFC North series, covering the spread in six of those games.

Take a look at Lions vs Vikings odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

New Orleans Saints (-2.5) at Washington Football Team, 1 p.m.

The Saints dominated the Giants in Week 4 in nearly every way except the most-important one, a 27-21 New York win in OT. Alvin Kamara has been a menace on the ground, but no team has fewer pass yards than the Saints. The defense has allowed more than 13 points just once.

Washington was 1-1 in two last-second decisions before getting run over by the Bills in Week 3. But it bounced back on the road with a come-from-behind 34-30 win at Atlanta in Week 4. Washington has covered the spread in five of its last six games as an underdog, and 5-2 ATS as a home dog, which they were in opening NFL Week 5 odds at sportsbooks.

Take a look at Saints vs Washington odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10), 1 p.m.

The first game without Tua Tagovailoa didn’t go great, though Jacoby Brissett did force OT before Miami lost to the Raiders in OT. The second week didn’t go well either, as Miami managed only 203 yards in a 27-17 home loss to the winless Colts. Brissett tossed two TDs but the run game managed just 35 yards on 16 carries. All facets must be on point for this one as the Dolphins are already more than a touchdown underdog on betting apps.

Tom Brady is averaging 339 pass yards per game, and Tampa Bay is 3-1. But there is concern by a defense that has struggled stopping the pass. Tampa Bay has won the Battle of Florida in all but one meeting since 1992, though these teams have faced off only six times in that span.

Take a look at Dolphins vs Buccaneers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

New England Patriots (-7.5) at Houston Texans, 1 p.m.

Mac Jones gained respect around the NFL with his performance, albeit in a losing effort, against Tom Brady and the Bucs on Sunday Night Football. Now New England hope he parlays it into victories, starting here. The Pats’ second-ranked pass defense held Brady to 22-of-43 passing and no TDs without All-Pro CB Stephon Gilmore.

After a solid two weeks of offense led by QB Tyrod Taylor, the Texans offense has grounded to a halt with rookie Davis Mills under center. Mills passed for just 87 yards with four INTs in a 40-0 rout at the hands of the Bills. The run game managed only 2.7 yards per carry, too.

Take a look at Patriots vs Texans odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders (-5.5), 4:05 p.m.

Justin Fields’ second game went far better than his first one. After going 6-of-20 passing in a brutal opener for the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Fields passed for 209 yards and led Chicago to a 24-14 win over the Lions. On Wednesday, coach Matt Nagy declared Fields the starter from here on out. They might need his legs as much as his arm. RB David Montgomery, a big boost on Sunday (106 yards, two TDs), is lost for several weeks with a knee injury.

Derek Carr led the NFL in passing yards before being limited to under 200 through the air in a 28-14 loss at the Chargers on Monday Night Football. It was only the first loss of the season for Vegas, but was also the first game not decided by six points or less.

Take a look at Bears vs Raiders odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5), 4:05 p.m.

The Browns outplayed the Vikings in a 14-7 slugfest win in Week 4, showing they don’t need 30-plus from the offense to be successful. The defense held Minnesota’s strong run game to 65 yards on 23 carries, while Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt combined for 169 yards on 35 carries. The Chargers ranked last vs. the run through Week 3.

The Chargers established themselves as possibly the best team in the toughest division by handling the Raiders 28-14 on Monday Night Football. They were successful by doing what they’ve been doing. Throwing the ball with success while stopping opponents from doing the same.

Take a look at Browns vs Chargers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-7), 4:25 p.m.

Daniel Jones passed for 400 yards and Saquon Barkley had two TDs, including the game-winner in OT of a 27-21 win over the Saints. So, this is what the offense can look like when both are on their game. The defense allowed 405 yards but did enough for win No. 1.

Dak Prescott has been the real deal since returning from last year’s injury, and the 3-1 start could be 4-0 if not for a blown call in the final seconds vs. the Buccaneers. He passed for just 188 yards last time out but for four TDs in a 36-28 win over the previously unbeaten Panthers. The run game gashed the top-ranked defense for 244 yards and 7.2 yards per carry.

Take a look at Cowboys vs Giants odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals (-5), 4:25 p.m.

Trey Lance got his first real action under center for the Niners in Week 4 and showed glimpses in a 28-21 loss as SF dropped to 2-2. He finished only 9-of-18 but for 157 yards, two TDs and no INTs. He also rushed seven times for 41 yards. Will Lance get another shot this Sunday? Incumbent QB Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a leg contusion and his status for Week 5 remains up in the air.

Arizona has scored 31-plus points in every game this season, and Kyler Murray has been NFL MVP worthy. He passed for two more TDs in a huge 37-20 win at the Rams in Week 4, and the run game got going, too (40 carries, 216 yards) vs. the Rams strong front. A defense that ranks in the top-half of the NFL has put major pressure on the QB.

Take a look at Cardinals vs 49ers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5), 8:20 p.m.

A surprising loss in Week 1 is in the rearview mirror thanks to two blowout wins following. Josh Allen and the Bills have outscored the competition 128-21 over the past three weeks. That offensive firepower will be needed here.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense ensured KC’s two-game losing streak ended in Philly, pouring on 471 yards of offense in a 42-30 win. The defense allowed 461 total yards against an Eagles team not known for explosiveness. The Chiefs have allowed at least 29 points in every game. This one is going to be a shootout.

Take a look at Bills vs Chiefs odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Monday, Oct. 11

Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5), 8:15 p.m.

Finally, the Colts found a way to win, beating the Dolphins 27-17. Carson Wentz, who had only three TDs going into Week 4, tossed a pair of scores, and Jonathan Taylor, managing 57 yards on the ground per game, had 103 and a TD. The Indy defense, which was allowing 373 ypg, held Miami to only 203.

Baltimore couldn’t get the run game going at Denver in Week 4, so Lamar Jackson beat the Broncos with his arm. He threw for 316 yards in the impressive 23-7 road win. The victory was the first Ravens game that didn’t come down to the final drive.

Take a look at Ravens vs Colts odds, injury report, betting lines and more.
