Daniel Jones and the New York Giants need a win to salvage a season going in the tank, as they play host to Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football .

The Giants (2-6) have lost four in a row while the Cowboys (4-3) are coming off their bye; last time they were on the field they demolished the Eagles 37-10.

PICK 1: Cowboys -7

Jones and the Giants have shown flashes of brilliance, but not against teams like the Cowboys. They’re 0-4 against playoff contenders, losing each game by at least 14 points.

Not counting a 26-point effort in a loss to the Lions, New York has managed just 15 ppg three of the last four weeks. Dak Prescott and the top-ranked Cowboys offense should have many opportunities against the porous New York pass defense. If you can still get -7 at -120 or better, take it.

In Week 1 against the Giants Dak Prescott completed 25 of 32 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns. The Cowboys won 35-17.

PICK 2: Over 48.5 Points

The Giants’ defense hasn’t stopped anyone outside of Washington – every other opponent has scored at least 27 points on them. No offense has piled up more yards than the Cowboys. They should hit 30-plus on their own, and Jones and Saquon Barkley should get New York on the board here and there, too.

PICK 3: Cowboys 1st Quarter -0.5

These teams are slow starters, but the Giants are really slow. The Giants are averaging 3.0 ppg in the first quarter this season, but haven’t actually managed a single point in the opening 15 minutes since Week 4. To make matters worse, they’re allowing nearly 12 ppg in the first quarter, too.

Dallas has been outscored in the first quarter overall, but their offense should move the ball on the Giants, and they should be motivated to start strong after falling behind in an eventual loss to the lowly Jets at this stadium three weeks ago.

PICK 4: First Half – Cowboys Lead & Over 23.5

The Giants’ slow start should give the Cowboys a strong one. At the same time, New York’s offense has performed best in the second quarter of games. The last three weeks it’s averaged 13.7 ppg.

The Cowboys have allowed 15.2 ppg in the first half of the last three weeks, more than double what they’ve allowed in the second half.

PICK 5: First Turnover – Giants

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had his best game of the season last week in a 31-26 loss to the Lions, completing 28 of 41 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns.

The Cowboys average 1.3 turnovers per game, as well as 1.3 takeaways per game. The Giants aren’t as balanced – they manage 1.2 takeaways but commit double that amount in turnovers per game. Jones had thrown at least one INT in each of the last four games before going off on the Lions last week.

Prescott is prone to picks as well. The last time these teams met, Prescott tossed four TDs and no INTs and the Giants fumbled twice.
