A trip to the Super Bowl lies in the balance on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game when Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers play host to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Kickoff is set for 6:40 p.m. ET.

The Packers have been to five Super Bowls, the last in 2010, while the 49ers have been to six Super Bowls but just one since 1994 (2012).

Let’s take a look at some of the best bets fans of NFL betting should consider:

PICK 1: 49ers -7.5

5 Packers-49ers NFC Championship Game Bets & Lines To Back 1
The 49ers defense gave up just one score in Week 12 against the Packers. That isn’t likely Sunday, but the 49ers should win easily.

The 49ers dominated the Packers 37-8 in Week 12, and San Francisco was missing some key pieces. Now the 49ers are healthy and crushed the Vikings last week to prove it.

As good as Rodgers is, the Niners scored more than 100 points over what the Packers managed this season, and their defense is far superior. Rodgers has been there before and Garoppolo hasn’t, but that’s about the only advantage Green Bay has here.

PICK 2: Under 45 Points

Both defenses are improved since the Week 12 meeting that finished at exactly 45 points scored. The Niners are unlikely to put up 37 points again and the Packers are unlikely to be held to just eight points, but neither team should break out, especially the potentially more-explosive Packers, who are averaging just 21 ppg the last seven weeks.

PICK 3: First Quarter — Over 7.5 Points

When it comes to getting off to fast starts, few teams are as fast as these two. Green Bay is averaging 6.8 ppg in the opening 15 minutes while San Francisco is 6.6 ppg, ranking third and fourth in the NFL. The last three weeks scoring has been down, but they’ve still averaged a combined 10.0 and are allowing 8.0 ppg.

PICK 4: Davante Adams — Under 84.5 Yards

Davante Adams and Rodgers have been a special pair the last four weeks, averaging nearly 13 targets per game and accumulating 118 ypg the last four weeks on 38 receptions. But the Niners have Richard Sherman on one side of the field and a host of capable DBs ready to double-team Adams on the other side. Adams had seven receptions but for just 43 yards in Week 12.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers should have no problem rushing for more than 12.5 yards on Sunday.

PICK 5: Aaron Rodgers — Over 12.5 Yards Rushing

Rodgers has rushed for 13 or more yards seven times this season, and five of those came in Week 12 or later. With the season on the line, if receivers aren’t open, he’ll take off. It won’t take many attempts to get to 13.
