Now that the NFL Draft has come and gone, only a few teams are still in the market for a QB, let alone a win-now veteran.
People got excited two off-seasons ago about a possible Rodgers-to-Pittsburgh connection. It didn’t happen, but the Steelers may be in the running again this winter. The Steelers didn't go QB in the draft, leaving them with the uninspiring Mason Rudolph atop the depth chart. For a veteran team built to compete right now, Rodgers makes all the sense.
Rodgers, himself, must decide if he wanted to play at all. That might be the only thing keeping him out of the Steel City for 2025.
The Minnesota Vikings let Sam Darnold go after he guided them to a stellar 14-3 record. Now, the Vikings must decide to spend on Rodgers or go with unproven second-year pro J.J. McCarthy, who missed all of last year due to injury.
The Indianapolis Colts are on the fence about young QB Anthony Richardson. Indy has a solid defense and run game, and notable pass game targets. Would Rodgers go to Indy? On the field, it sounds like a solid fit. The New Orleans Saints have questions about the availability of injured QB Derek Carr. They drafted Louisville's Tyler Shough, but he may be more of a long-term project than Week 1 starter.
