Allen Robinson’s 2021 season with the Chicago Bears was largely forgettable. The team’s WR1 managed just 38 receptions on 66 targets for 410 yards and one TD in 12 games. The previous two seasons for the Bears, he averaged 152.5 targets, 100 receptions, 1,199 yards and 6.5 TDs.

But few in the league blame Robinson for his statistical woes. The Bears’ QB situation torpedoed the entire offense, and injuries and coaching didn’t help. Robinson is an unrestricted free agent, and experts believe he could command over $15 million annually on the market.

The Bears reportedly are ready to start fresh (and use that capital elsewhere), and won’t use a pricey franchise tag on Robinson, making him one of the more enticing receivers available.

While an NFL futures market on his next team is not yet available on legal US betting sites, Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has created a projected NFL betting board for Allen Robinson's next squad in the 2022 season.

Allen has never played with a top-tier QB, spending his eight seasons in Jacksonville and Chicago. He’s overcome such pairings to be an elite WR. Imagine what he could accomplish with a little help.

Most of the top teams on this list don’t have an elite QB, unless Trevor Lawrence (Jaguars) counts. What’s more important is money with a hint of potential.

Three of the teams on this list rank in the top five of cap space. No team comes close to the projected cap space of the Miami Dolphins. The Jaguars (third) and Jets (fifth) aren’t far off. Jacksonville and New York are especially in dire need of a lead WR for their young QBs.

The Jaguars and Jets did nearly nothing last season but are in the early stages of a rebuild. The Dolphins nearly made the playoffs last year led by a top-10 defense, but a new head coach and staff brings an unknown factor.

The Lions desperately could use an established WR, they may hope for a hometown heart tug from the Detroit native. Similarly, the Falcons will probably move on from Calvin Ridley, though money might be a concern. Atlanta just hired former Bears GM Ryan Pace as a senior personnel executive, perhaps opening the door to communication.

The Bears remain higher on the list due to their franchise tag power.
