Christian McCaffrey led the NFL in rushing yards in 2023. On Sunday, he’ll help lead the San Francisco 49ers into Super Bowl 58, when they face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas. 

McCaffrey paced the entire league not just in rushing yards, but all-purpose yards and in total touchdowns. But it’s not expected to come easy at the Super Bowl against a Chiefs defense that ranks No. 2 in fewest points allowed.

The 49ers are 13-0 when McCaffrey gets over 15 attempts. When he gets at least 17 carries, the team is 9-0 with an average margin of victory of 16.6 ppg. KC’s two-high defense is catnip to what the Niners want to do with McCaffrey.

KC has allowed over 90 rush yards in 15 of 20 games this season. Barring injury, McCaffrey should get close to 100% of the carries for the Niners.
