Best Anytime TD Scorer Prop Bets For NFL Week 16 Christmas Day

Bill Speros | 17 mins

The NFL betting schedule has three Christmas games in Week 16. We’re not encouraging you to avoid your family to watch, let’s say, the Broncos and Rams on Christmas Day.
But there’s no problem with placing a few legal wagers to give oneself a financial and heightened rooting interest in the outcome. Especially when it comes to the TD scorer prop market.

Let’s take a look at the NFL’s December 25th lineup and the best TD scorer bets to back.
After starting Week 16 on Thursday and serving up a dozen games on Saturday (Christmas Eve), the NFL starts its Christmas Day triple-header with the Green Bay Packers visiting Miami. That game kicks off at 1 p.m. Eastern on FOX. The Dolphins are -4 and -200 on the money line at BetMGM ➜. That book has the Packers at +165 and the total at a beefy 50 points.
Game 2 has the Denver Broncos visiting the LA Rams. Kickoff at SoFi Stadium is set for 4:25 p.m. on CBS. That game will also air on Nickelodeon given that it should be fully covered in slime. This game looked like a real winner when the NFL schedule dropped in May.
The Rams were defending Super Bowl champions and the Broncos had just brought in Russell Wilson to cook up a playoff run. Well, they landed on the naughty list in 2022.
The Broncos are 3-point favorites and -150 on the moneyline at DraftKings. ➜. The Rams are +130 at home and the total is a paltry 36.5 points.
Both teams have been mathematically eliminated from the postseason.
The NFL Christmas schedule closes out in Glendale, Arizona. The Cardinals play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:15 p.m. on NBC. The Buccaneers are 6-8 but hold a one-game lead over the rest of the moribund NFC South. The Cardinals, like the Rams and Broncos, are officially on to 2023.
Oddsmakers at Caesars Sportsbook set the Bucs at -7 but the line has expanded to -7.5. Tampa Bay is -385 on the money line, while the home Cardinals are +300. The total is 40.5.
NFL Anytime TD Props For Christmas Day
Jaylen Waddle Anytime TD - Jaylen Waddle Anytime TD & Dolphins Win
Anytime TD Odds: +135 at DraftKings ➜
Anytime TD & Dolphins Win Odds: +235 at DraftKings ➜
Jaylen Waddle built upon a solid rookie season with a spectacular sophomore campaign. Waddle’s 67-yard score last week included 42 yards after the catch in a sprint in which he was clocked at 21.11 MPH. If he finds space, good luck.
The Dolphins have a multi-faced offense and leaving Ty Hill in single coverage is dangerous to any team’s health. Look for Tua Tagovailoa to find the Penguin not necessarily IN the end zone, but with enough space for Waddle to get there. This is a nice way to buy up on the money line given the Dolphins -4 line.
Aaron Jones 1st Packers TD
Odds: +290 at DraftKings ➜
When the Dolphins and Packers last met in 2018, Aaron Jones tore up the Fins for 140 yards and 2 TDs on just 15 carries. The Packers will have to run the ball to keep Aaron Rodgers viable and ambulatory. Usually, teams from northern climes tend to wilt in Miami late in the season. (See the New England Patriots).
The game time temperature on Sunday is going to be a bone-chilling 52 degrees. Perfect Green Bay weather in South Florida. Jones will be a second option (like Waddle with Miami) and should have room to run, especially in the Red Zone. Jones will be the first member (and perhaps the only) player on the Packers to find the end zone.
Latavius Murray Anytime Score & Broncos Win
Odds: +200 at DraftKings ➜
Both teams have experienced colossal disappointments this season. The Rams have gone from champs to chumps in just 10 months. They have lost 7 of 8 games. It’s not going to better any time soon given that LA does not have a first-round pick until 2024.
The Broncos lost five straight before beating the Cardinals 24-15 in Week 15. Murray had 24 carries for 130 yards in that game. Expect a crowd in the tens at SoFi. Murray is a sure-hand with the ball, especially in the Red Zone, and will land in the end zone in a game in which the Broncos should prevail.
Cade Otton Anytime TD
Odds: +265 at Caesars ➜
Tom Brady has gone through several “Binkys” since joining the Buccaneers three years ago. Two of his latest, Russell Gage and Cameron Brate, have been ruled out this week. When Brady gets into the Red Zone, he’s historically favored tight ends and slot receivers.
Brady threw a TD pass to Otton to clinch the Bucs’ win over the Rams on Nov. 6. When the Bucs are close in tight in the Red Zone and stacked against Leonard Fournette, Brady will look to get Otton open for a score. Cade Otton anytime TD is a solid bet here, especially at this price.
Mike Evans To Score 2 Or More TDs
Odds: +1100 at Caesars ➜
Mike Evans and Brady have been a half-step apart all season. It’s been one of the most frustrating things for Bucs fans and backers to watch. It’s also a reason why Tampa Bay has the worst record ATS in the NFL at 3-10-1.
The Cardinals are out of the playoffs and have been flat-out putrid (1-7) home. Arizona has allowed 25 passing TDs this year and at least 24 points in their past four games. That’s just what the Buccaneers need, given how poor their offense has done this year in terms of producing points. Evans is poised for a break-out game and the Cardinals are perfectly suited to help him get it.
