Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Best Bets, Picks & Predictions

Adam Thompson | 9 mins

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, licking their wounds after an opening loss to the Vikings, host Justin Fields and the energized Chicago Bears in a Sunday Night Football resumption of one of the top rivalries in sports.
The Packers managed just one touchdown in a 23-7 loss at Minnesota in the opener, though they had two prime scoring opportunities fall short. The Bears are coming off a rain-soaked 19-10 upset win over the 49ers.

Oddsmakers at NFL betting sites didn’t put much stock in either result. The latest Bears vs. Packers odds have Green Bay favored by 10 points. The Over/Under is set at 41.5 points on betting apps.
Bookies.com NFL handicapper Adam Thompson – who has hit on a whopping 62-64% of his
NFL picks three years running – reveals his best bets for Bears vs. Packers in this showdown at Lambeau Field.
Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Point Spread
In the last 29 meetings dating back nearly 15 years, the Bears have covered the spread just seven times, despite getting ample points. More recent, Green Bay has won the last four meetings by an average of 15 points, and all were of the double-digit variety.
Oddsmakers on sports betting sites have tossed the Week 1 results and we will too. Nearly half of Fields’ pass yards came on one play. The Packers struggled to get into an offensive rhythm but should find their way with that experience behind them. A spread of -9.5 is available at some top online sportsbooks. All day on Green Bay at those odds for your best Bears vs. Packers picks, even at a higher price.
Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Over/Under
The Packers-Vikings game totaled 30 points, the 49ers-Bears tilt managed 29. Still, expect more fireworks here. Green Bay’s offense averaged 26 ppg and gets back Allen Lazard and help on the O-line. The chuck-and-duck Bears will find a big play or two available if they watched tape of the Packers’ handling of Justin Jefferson.
The Over has hit in four of the last five matchups at Lambeau and in four in a row when Chicago is a road underdog. The lowest total on a Packers game in 2021 was 43. It happened twice, and the final score ended at 47 and 75 points. The latter was vs. the Bears at Lambeau. For your Bears vs. Packers Over/Under pick, expect more from both offenses Sunday night and grab the Over.
Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Moneyline
The Bears are a proud, storied NFL franchise, but it’s astonishing how uncompetitive they’ve been over the last decade-plus against their chief rivals. Green Bay has won 21 of the last 24 games, regardless of location.
Green Bay’s receivers must improve in Week 2, but the rest of the team has a decided advantage over their Windy City visitors. The Packers are -450 on the moneyline according to the latest NFL odds, which is steep, but we’re certainly not going with Chicago, even at +360. Back the Pack if you’re going the ML route for your Bears vs. Packers picks.
Best Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Player Props
Aaron Jones & AJ Dillon, Over 200 All-Purpose Yards + Packers Win
Odds: +275 at DraftKings ➜
Aaron Rodgers and his young receivers are still learning their way. Meanwhile, the Packers possess one of the premier 1-2 backfield punches. Against the Vikings, Jones and Dillon combined for 22 touches and 167 total yards.
Expect more on Sunday. Chicago allowed 176 rush yards to a Niners team missing its top RB. Rodgers may look more to his backs in the pass game as well. Add a Packers win to it and these odds are solid. Find this double play at DraftKings.
Darnell Mooney, Under 48.5 Pass Yards
Odds: +275 at DraftKings ➜
Mooney had one catch in Sunday’s opener vs. the Niners, but the weather was so bad we’ll offer a pass. Last season Mooney and Fields weren’t always on the same page, though, either. He averaged 50.8 yards per game as the top WR with Fields under center.
Mooney has also had his issues vs. the Packers, especially at Lambeau, with four receptions and 53 yards – in two games. The Packers’ defensive backfield, expected to be a strength, has something to prove after getting torched by Jefferson last week.
