Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is set to hit free agency for the first time this offseason, meaning he could find a new home in 2025 and beyond. Despite suffering an ankle injury this year, the former Super Bowl champion and one-time Pro Bowler will be one of the top free agents when free agency opens as he’s been one of the top WRs in the NFL for the past eight years, and he could get big, guaranteed money on the open market as a result.

With free agency looming, Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has put together hypothetical NFL betting odds for what team could be the next for Godwin to call home.

Possible Landing Spots

🏈 Las Vegas Raiders (+450)

The Raiders traded their star WR Davante Adams to the NY Jets this year, and they still haven’t replaced him. The Raiders will have money to spend, so Godwin would be a great addition to the team. They will also be on the lookout for a new quarterback this offseason, as well.

🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers (+500)

The Steelers and Godwin seem like a natural fit. Godwin would fit in well with HC Mike Tomlin’s offense, and the Steelers could use another WR for Russell Wilson – if he is re-signed – to throw the ball to, making this an ideal landing spot.

🏈 Denver Broncos (+650)

The Broncos have been surprisingly competitive this season, but they could use more help at WR for youngster Bo Nix, so signing Godwin would make a lot of sense for them.

🏈 New England Patriots (+850)

The Patriots are going to miss the playoffs once again, and they need WR help for young QB Drake Maye. Signing Godwin in free agency could be a great solution if they can land him.

🏈 Tennessee Titans (+900)

The Titans have been a massive disappointment this season, and with WR DeAndre Hopkins traded to the Kansas City Chiefs, they will need help at WR, which is where Godwin could come into play.

🏈 Cincinnati Bengals (+1000)

The Bengals could be in the market for a new WR if Tee Higgins leaves as a free agent this offseason, and if that happens, then Godwin would be a nice replacement on the roster.

🏈 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1000)

A return to the Bucs for Godwin should not be written off as he has played for the team for the past eight years and even won a Super Bowl with them. If there is mutual interest for a return, then Godwin could very well go back to the Bucs.

🏈 Carolina Panthers (+1150)

The Panthers are once again one of the NFL’s worst teams, but the team has plenty of cap space and a need for help at WR, so signing Godwin would be a great addition to the team.

🏈 New York Jets (+1200)

The Jets picked up star WR Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders this season, but if they want to add some more help at the position, then Godwin would be a great signing. After all, 2025 could very well be the last year of legend Aaron Rodgers’ storied NFL career.

🏈 Buffalo Bills (+1400)

The Bills have been looking for wide receiver help for star QB Josh Allen, and adding Godwin would bring a much-needed star wide receiver to the Bills’ starting lineup. If the Bills can find a way to fit Godwin into their cap, then they could try to sign him to a deal.

🏈 The Field (+900)

Aside from all of the clubs mentioned on this list, there could always be another NFL team in the field that sneaks into the bidding and signs Godwin as a free agent.
