2025 Deebo Samuel Next Team Odds: Who will trade for the 49ers wide receiver?

San Francsico 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has requested a trade. The Niners said he’s free to find a partner.
It was a down season for the six-year wideout, and his production was roughly half of what it was during his one Pro Bowl campaign in 2021. It sounds like both parties welcome a change.
Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has revealed his 2025NFL odds for Samuel's possible next team.

Samuel's Performance
In 15 games, Samuel caught 51 passes for 670 yards and three touchdowns. That is a big drop from the season before (60-892-6) and an epic drop from his 2021 All-Pro season (77-1,405-6). His rushing numbers plummeted in 2024.
Deebo got into dust-ups with teammates that didn’t help matters. So now he wants out, and San Fran seems good with that.
Samuel has one year left on a big contract before he can opt out and void the final four years of his deal. His cap hit for 2025 is a relatively modest $15.8 million, so teams in need at the position could come calling if the trade price is reasonable.

Possible Landing Spots
The New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and Las Vegas Raiders are all desperate to improve their pass-catching corps, and all of them have the motivation and the cap space to make such a move. None of them are rivals or championship threats to the Niners, so it makes sense on their side, as well. The question is how much Samuel, whose agents are facilitating a potential trade, is going to prioritize team success and if he’s willing to sign a long-term extension with any of those squads. The Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers fit that bill, too. Carolina offers the closest chance for Samuel, a South Carolina native and former Gamecocks standout, to return to his roots.
The Washington Commanders and Cincinnati Bengals may fit Deebo’s wish list a little better in that regard. Both could use a solid WR2, and both have the funds to add Samuel, if even as a one-year rental. The Pittsburgh Steelers went hard after Brandon Aiyuk before Aiyuk returned to San Francisco. The belief is that Deebo fits the schemes and could flourish under offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
Teams with a dire need to improve at the receiver spot – notably, the Baltimore Ravens, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Houston Texans – likely don’t have the salary cap space to make a splay at receiver.
