A Week 4 matchup at Lambeau Field could go a long way in determining a division’s trajectory, as Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers host Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football.

Love and the Packers (2-1) rallied from a 17-0 fourth-quarter deficit to stun the Saints in Week 3, while Goff and the Lions (2-1) rolled by a Falcons team that defeated Green Bay the week prior.

The latest Lions vs. Packers NFL odds show a close-point spread. Detroit is favored by 1.5 points with an Over/Under of 46 points.

Bookies.com veteran NFL handicapper Adam Thompson – who has hit on a whopping 62-64% of his NFL picks three years running, reveals his plays for the NFC North showdown.

Lions vs. Packers Betting Predictions

Lions vs. Packers Point Spread Best Bet

The Packers are an enigma at this moment. They’re one of the bottom-10 NFL teams at rushing and stopping the run and 21st in passing, but they’re also severely banged up, especially on the offensive end. We don’t know what we have yet with Green Bay.

We do know what we have with Detroit. The Lions get after the QB with pressure and overall rank No. 8 in total offense and No. 11 on defense. Goff has won in Lambeau before, and laying just 1.5 points isn’t deterring us.

The Packers’ injury questions – 2-3 O-linemen, top WR Christian Watson, and top RB Aaron Jones are all questionable – keep us from going big on the Lions. But if we’re playing a side, we’re laying the points with Detroit.

Lions vs. Packers Over/Under Best Bet

The matchups last season resulted in 36 and 24 points, well below the total for Thursday night. Both teams have fared better when the scores are lower.

The Packers’ questions on offense keep us off Green Bay, but it also points to an Under, as does Detroit’s stout front 7 that limited the top-tier Falcons rush attack to just 44 yards. The Packers thrive when the run can set up the pass.

Total points Detroit’s wins were 41 and 26, and 48 in the loss. Each team will lean on the defense to make plays. Back the Under at Lambeau.

Lions vs. Packers Moneyline Best Bet

The Lions have won three in a row vs. the Packers, including a 20-16 win at Lambeau in January. They’ve looked far better against similar competition and have the matchups to fare well against Love.

Can Goff avoid the big turnover that turns the tide? The Lions are 9-3 when Goff doesn’t throw an INT the past one-plus seasons, and 2-6 when he does. Green Bay has a pick in two of three games. It’s a concern here, but not enough to keep us from sprinkling on the -120 Lions moneyline at the betting apps.

Lions vs. Packers Top Player Props

Jared Goff Over 252.5 Pass Yards

Odds: -105 at DraftKings

Goff has thrown for 253 and 243 yards in Detroit’s two wins and 323 in an OT loss, throwing 33-35 attempts in each outing. He’ll take on a Packers defense that may be without star CB Jaire Alexander and a defense that allowed season-best yardage outputs from Justin Fields and Desmond Ridder (the Saints used two QBs equally due to injury). Goff may not go for 325 yards, but 275 seems very plausible. Find near-even odds for this Over at DraftKings.

Luke Musgrave Over 38.5 Receiving Yards

Odds: -110 at FanDuel

The Packers’ rookie tight end is finding ways to get open, even downfield, and Love is noticing. In Green Bay’s two wins, Musgrave has 50 and 49 yards. In the one defeat, he had 25 yards. By a wide margin, the Lions have allowed more receptions and yards to tight ends than any other team. Look for both trends to continue, and lock in the best odds at FanDuel.
