A pair of 2-0 NFC teams face off on Monday Night Football in Week 3. One of them, to the surprise of few, is the Philadelphia Eagles. The other, to the surprise of more than a few, is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles haven’t had it easy, but one-score wins over the Patriots and Vikings have the favorites in NFC championship futures at 2-0. Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers had far lower expectations from a mainstream perspective but wins in Minnesota and at home in Chicago have people wondering if this team is for real.

Oddsmakers are unsure as well. Philly is favored by five points on the road in the latest Eagles vs. Buccaneers NFL odds. The Over/Under for the game is 45.5 points.

Bookies.com veteran NFL handicapper Adam Thompson – who has hit on a whopping 62-64% of his NFL picks three years running, reveals his plays for the Monday night matchup of unbeaten.

Eagles vs. Buccaneers Odds

Eagles vs. Buccaneers Point Spread Pick

The Buccaneers have surprised some with their 2-0 start. While beating the Bears at home isn’t eye-opening, their Week 1 win at Minnesota was. The Eagles are also 2-0, but neither game has been pretty, getting past the Patriots and Vikings by less than a TD.

Football is a game of matchups, and on the front lines, Philly holds a massive advantage regardless of which team has the ball. The Bucs’ D-line injury questions clouds it, but if Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey don’t suit up, Philly could roll here. We’re not all-in on the Eagles, but Philly -5 is the play for Monday night.

Eagles vs. Buccaneers Over/Under Best Bet

The Over/Under of 46 points is among the higher totals for Week 3. Neither Buccaneers game has hit that mark (37 and 44); Eagles games have finished at 45 and 62.

If you believe in Mayfield and the Bucs, this one has the makings of a possible shootout. The muti-faceted Eagles averaged well over 30 ppg last year and has advantages in both the run and pass on offense. Meanwhile, Mayfield and his slew of targets can pick apart an Eagles defense allowing 340 ypg through the air. The Over is our top pick for this MNF matchup.

Eagles vs. Buccaneers Moneyline Pick

The Eagles are -218 on the moneyline, meaning a $218 wager would win $100 in profit at betting apps. The underdog Buccaneers are +180 (wager $100 to win 180 in profit).

Philadelphia hasn’t looked as sharp as many expected, but the season is young. The Eagles are going to break out at some point. Will it be here? Our estimation is it’s a good spot, especially for the offense. But we’re not willing in backing the Eagles to win at this price. Mayfield and the Bucs have looked too competent, though this is a step up in competition.

Eagles vs. Buccaneers Top Player Props

Baker Mayfield, Over 230.5 Pass yards

Odds: -115 at DraftKings

Mayfield was a modest 21-of-34 for 173 yards in the Bucs’ win over the Vikings, but was 26-of-34 for 317 in the victory over the Bears. His confidence is growing and he has weapons to find.

He should find them against the Eagles. While it has been very difficult to do any running against Philly’s front seven, the pass defense has been worked over by Mac Jones and Kirk Cousins. Add to it a strong possibility the Bucs could be playing catch-up, and Mayfield could flirt with 300-plus yards again. Get this price over at DraftKings.

Chase McLaughlin, Over 5.5 Points

Odds: -TBD at BetMGM

The Buccaneers kicker has two field goals in each of the first two games, and should get 2-3 more opportunities here with Tampa converting TDs on 33.3% of red zone opportunities. He’s missed just one FG all season.

With the Eagles’ giving up a copious amount of pass yards, we expect Tampa to move the ball but stall on at least a couple of occasions down close. Cue McLaughlin to get the team points. Find the best odds for the kicking Over at BetMGM.
