Jaire Alexander 2025 Team Odds : Will Star CB Leave The Packers?

The last two seasons Jaire Alexander even played half his games as a cornerback for the Green Bay Packers, he’s been named All-Pro. 

But that’s been too few and far between. He managed just seven games in 2024, seven in 2023, and only four back in 2021. This season, despite practicing fully at the end of weeks, Jaire would still be unable or unwilling to play. 

It’s led to a realization that it may be best for both Alexander and the Packers to break ties and go in other directions. Teams will be interested in the two-time Pro Bowler, if he can pass a physical. 

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has updated his 2025 NFL odds for Alexander following the 2025 NFL Draft.

A lot of teams could use a shutdown cornerback, it’s more an issue of whether Alexander can remain healthy enough to make a difference. Jaire’s salary cap hit of $25-28 million over the next two seasons could be a deterrent, but again, it’s not often a shutdown corner hits the trade market. 

Building teams with cash to spend and a need to stop the pass head the list. No team can match up with need and cap space like the Las Vegas Raiders, who really need cornerback help and rank No. 2 in cap space post-Draft. Only the Patriots have more. 

The Raiders may be less inclined for another high-priced veteran from Green Bay after recently getting the short end of a deal that included WR Davante Adams. 

The Arizona Cardinals are the only team that could compete straight-up in terms of need/cash. The Miami Dolphins' own star CB Jalen Ramsey has sought a trade; perhaps the teams can formulate a teams that sees them swapping sides. 

The Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans can all afford to make a move without too much wrangling, as can the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners get dinged due to their rivalry with the Packers, while the Titans aren't likely to spend big now as they're likely a couple seasons from being a contender.
