The New York Giants didn’t have very high expectations for 2022, what with a new coach in Brian Daboll, and the inconsistent Daniel Jones at QB and oft-injured Saquon Barkley leading the offense.

But the Giants improved 5.5 games from the prior yard to go 9-7-1, securing their first winning season and first postseason berth since 2016. Daboll, Jones and Barkley are all back for 2023 as the team aims to keep the momentum going.

There are considerable holes to fill before Week 1, and the 2023 NFL Draft can fill some of them. It starts for New York at No. 25.

Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has used his resources of NFL contacts developed over 20 years covering the league and the NFL Draft to create his hypothetical NFL futures odds on who gets selected 25th by the New York Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Who Will The Giants Take In 2023 NFL Draft?

The Giants have their quarterback and they have their running back, but receiver remains an area of need. They traded for star TE Darren Waller and re-signed WR Sterling Shepherd, but if Quentin Johnston, Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison or Jaxon Smith-Njigba are available at No. 25, the Giants will want to continue improving Jones’ targets.

Johnston and Smith-Njigba are likely the top options for the Giants and they both represent a more-physical brand of WR. Smith-Njigba is also the most likely to be off the board at 25. The 5-foot-9 Flowers is a speedster and playmaker, while Addison is the most all-around. Any of them would help improve a subpar WR room and the team's $160 million quarterback.

If none of them are available, there are other areas of need. The Giants are on the lookout for improvement at both center and guard, and at No. 25 in the draft, they could have their pick of the No. 1 prospect at either position.

O'Cyrus Torrence Odds To join The Giants

O’Cyrus Torrence is the top offensive guard in the draft, a wide-bodied and productive OG for the Gators in 2022. There is no other true first-round prospect on the interior line, so if they want to improve, this is the guy and this is the pick to do it.

The Field includes other potential first-round WRs, including the Tennessee tandem of Cedric Tillman and Jalin Hyatt, as well as the mid-level cornerbacks such as South Carolina’s Cam Smith and Maryland’s Deonte Banks. Interior O-linemen projected to go later could sneak up this high if need supplants "best available." Steve Avila of TCU and John Michael Schmitz of Minnesota aren't a huge reach at 25.
