New York Giants NFL Draft Odds: Options Available With Two High Picks
It’s no secret what the New York Giants are looking to add at the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s also no surprise, based on their 4-13 season and last-place finish in the NFC East, that more than one position is of great need.
The offense finished second-to-last in the NFL in both yards and scoring. But perhaps it isn’t as brutal as it seems. QB Daniel Jones missed the final six games of the season and New York’s offense scored 9.3 ppg in his absence. Protecting him is of the highest priority.
With the No. 5 and No. 7 overall picks, New York has the draft capital to make multiple splashes.
Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has revealed who the Giants are most likely to choose with No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Who Will The Giants Take In NFL Draft?
There are several needs for the team they can address in the first round, but Edge rusher/defensive end and offensive tackle are at the top of the list. Keeping Jones healthy is paramount to team success. They drafted OT Andrew Thomas at No. 4 overall in 2020 and now need a bookend.
They also need help getting to the QB, and this draft is top-heavy with solid options. While Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson is expected to go 1 or 2 in the draft, New York may have the second or third best pass rusher waiting at No. 5.
The trick for the Giants is deciding who to take at No. 5 and who to sweat it out in the hopes they’re still there at No. 7. The Carolina Panthers are currently at No. 6 and could use just about everything as well – but especially offensive line. Odds for the No. 5 pick reflect that.
The exception could be if Oregon DE Kayvon Thibodeaux is still there at No. 5. He could go as high as No. 2, however.
Charles Cross Odds To join The Giants
When it comes to which offensive lineman to choose, the options will be aplenty. Only Evan Neal of Alabama is expected to be off the board at No. 5. If Neal is still there, he’ll go to New York.
Cross is considered arguably the best pass blocker in the Class of 2022, and a Day 1 starter with a high upside who can help keep Jones upright. We saw what the Giants offense looked like without Jones, and it wasn’t pretty. Adding Cross fits into what New York wants to accomplish on draft day. It then gives it flexibility to go after a pass rusher at No. 7.
