Part III of the Seahawks-Rams Trilogy stands hard-pressed to match the first-two installments.  In Week 11, a missed field goal try at the gun via Seattle kicker Jason Myers sealed LA’s 21-19 victory. Sam Darnold and the Seahawks evened the score in Week 16. After the Rams failed twice late in the 4^th quarter to win it, Darnold drove his team to a 38-37 win in OT off a two-point conversion.

All Signs Point Toward Offense, Offense & More Offense

All the data points to lots of offense Sunday. The forecast calls for temperatures in the high 40s with showers. The Rams proved impervious to weather Sunday, bagging the Bears 20-17 in overtime amid wind, snow, and temperatures in the teens at Solider Field.

In the Trilogy's two previous chapters this season, the Rams won by a combined score of 58-57. The Rams amassed 830 yards, while the Seahawks stacked 829.

The Rams’ defense – with some help by a blown DJ Moore route – sealed the 20-17 OT victory with an OT interception off Caleb Williams. Of course, the Bears did not make it easy. Williams connect with Cole Kmet to force OT with a “Hail Mary” even the Pope could love.

Matthew Stafford justified his impending MVP award with his performance in the postseason. He controlled the pace of the game Sunday and avoided catastrophe.

For Darnold, his presence offers in the NFC Championship game offers a chance to purge both those “ghosts” he saw while playing for the Jets, and expunge the doubt that’s followed him throughout his career.

Super Bowl 60 takes place a Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara (home of the dreaded 49ers),. With a win Sunday, the Rams earn the chance to play for a 2nd Super Bowl in 5 years in their home state of California.

Seattle won six straight to close out the regular season to clinch the NFC West and homefield. That includes wins over both the Rams and 49ers. The Seahawks' winning streak hit seven with a 41-6 demolition of the Niners on Saturday. During its winning run, Seattle outscored opponents not named the Rams by 88 points.

The experience and guise of Rams HC Sean McVay against the quiet brilliance of Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald offers one storyline to watch. A hidden matchup features Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula against Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold. Shula has multiple head-coaching options next season. That may include the Bills, who fired Sean McDermott Monday.

The Seahawks emerged from the Divisional Round with a share of the best record ATS in the NFL, with New England. Given the 2.5-point number, this is a neutral site pick-em. But there’s nothing neutral about Lumen Field. The Rams a full tank of gas in beating the Bears in OT. And they travel to get Seattle with one day’s fewer rest.
