After an incredible wild-card weekend of NFL betting, the divisional round of the playoffs has four excellent matchups that should produce outstanding games. In the NFC, there are three sure-fire Hall of Fame quarterbacks playing in Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. In the AFC, there are three of the best young quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

Here is a complete guide to the weekend plus our best bets for the divisional round of the playoffs.

AFC Divisional Round Odds & Best Bets

Ravens at Bills Odds & Best Bet

Back in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills were criticized by the national media for selecting (and trading up for) Josh Allen in the first round over 2017 Heisman Trophy Winner Lamar Jackson, who went on to win the 2019 NFL MVP award as QB of the Baltimore Ravens and added fuel to the fire.

However, Allen is now proving the Bills right after leading the team to its first playoff win since 1994. He's been incredible this season, completing more than 69 percent of his passes and scoring a total of 46 touchdowns. This game features two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, both coming off their first career playoff wins.

TOP BET: Ravens ATS

These offenses are so explosive and can beat opponents in several different ways. However, the difference is the experience and defense for the Ravens. John Harbaugh is one of the most accomplished playoff coaches in the NFL and knows how to get his team ready to play in games like this.

His defense is also elite, finishing No. 1 in the NFL in points allowed (18.59 per game). They have the secondary to slow down Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley and the pass rush to make Allen uncomfortable. This projects as a close game, but with the Ravens getting points, it’s too difficult to pass on them. You can make the bet with DraftKings.

Browns at Chiefs Odds & Best Bet

Without head coach Kevin Stefanski and several Pro Bowl players out due to positive COVID-19 test results, no one gave the Browns much chance to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh in the first round of the playoffs. Not only did they win, but they dominated their division rival, scoring 48 points on Sunday night.

What is their reward for that impressive victory? A trip to Kansas City to take on Patrick Mahomes and the defending-champion Chiefs in Round 2. Can Cleveland's defense make enough plays to keep this game close, or will they get exposed through the air as they did in the second half of the wild-card game?

To beat Kansas City, you have to play an A+ game, and even then it might not be enough. Can Cleveland put together another strong performance to make this a contest? We shall see, but we wouldn’t bet on it happening.

TOP BET: Chiefs ATS

There is some concern in this game that the Browns could play a ball-control style of offense and the Chiefs come out flat on offense after two weeks off. In fact, we saw that exact scenario play out in the divisional game last season as the Chiefs dug themselves a 24-0 hole against the Texans.

However, in typical Chiefs’ fashion, that game quickly turned into a blowout in the other direction as Mahomes got red-hot and there was nothing Houston could do to stop it. Unless the Browns get a bunch of turnovers, it's hard to envision them holding the Chiefs under 30 points. Cleveland allowed 262.5 passing yards per game during the regular season despite playing a ton of backup quarterbacks.

Look for Mahomes to torch their inexperienced secondary for several big plays down the field. For that reason, take the Chiefs to cover here as they are well-rested and ready to go on another run. Grab these odds over at PointsBet.

NFC Divisional Round Odds & Best Bets

Rams at Packers Odds & Best Bet

One of the more shocking outcomes of the first round of the playoffs was the Rams thoroughly dominating the Seahawks in Seattle. Los Angeles’ defense got pressure all game long and the secondary held up against the likes of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

However, their opponent in the divisional round will present a much different challenge as the Rams will face Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. The Packers finished the 2020 season hot, winning six straight games to end the year. But can they beat the Rams in likely the most physical game of the weekend?

TOP BET: Packers ATS

The Rams are one of the best-coached teams in the NFL and their defense is incredible. But trying to stop Rodgers on the road, after Green Bay got a week of rest, is going to be difficult. The Rams also have failed to cover the spread in six straight games against the Packers.

Green Bay presents so many difficult challenges for the Rams and it's hard to imagine that Jared Goff (coming off recent thumb surgery) can put up enough points to win this game. Look for the Packers to potentially win by double digits in this contest. We grabbed these odds at FOX Bet.

Buccaneers at Saints Odds & Best Bet

Arguably the most anticipated matchup of the week will be a game that we’ve already seen twice this year. In the two previous meetings, the Saints had a point differential of +46. But this isn’t the same Buccaneers. They have now won five straight games and the offense is clicking. Since Week 10, they are averaging 34.1 points per game.

Meanwhile, the Saints have had some trouble moving the ball since Drew Brees returned to the lineup. This should be a fantastic game with the winner likely going on the road to face Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.

TOP BET: Buccaneers ATS

These are two evenly matched teams, but with the way Drew Brees has played recently in the playoffs makes it hard to bet on him in this game. It’s pretty clear his arm isn’t the same as it was a few years ago, and in big games, he becomes a little too turnover-prone.

On the flip side, Tom Brady has always been a dominant playoff quarterback and is playing his best football of the season. For that reason, give me the Buccaneers and the points as this figures to be a game that comes down to the final possession, and getting the extra three points here is enormously beneficial. That is why we love the Buccaneers as road underdogs at BetMGM.
