There has been a COVID-19 outbreak in the NFL over the last two weeks, and it has finally started to impact the games on the field as well as NFL betting markets. After no games were postponed in their first 14 weeks of the NFL season, the league moved three games in Week 15.

The first is the matchup between the Raiders and the Browns scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. But after Baker Mayfield and 20 other players for the Browns tested positive for the virus, that game has officially been moved to Monday at 5 p.m. ET. It will still be aired on NFL Network. The hope is that a few players for the Browns can get out of COVID protocol and be ready for the game should they return a negative test.

Both the Raiders and the Browns are still in the playoff hunt in the AFC and each side needs a win. The Browns certainly didn’t want to forfeit a home game, so moving this contest back a few days allows them to at least field a roster for this critical AFC matchup. The Browns are -1 spread favorites at most top sportsbooks and betting sites, with the Over/Under set at 40.5.

The Browns also are scheduled to play again on Saturday in Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers. That is likely why their Week 15 game wasn’t moved to Tuesday, like the other two games that have been rescheduled.

Washington-Eagles, Rams-Seahawks also moved

The second game moved is the NFC East matchup between the Washington Football Team and the Philadelphia Eagles. That game was set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon. But with Washington having nearly 20 players test positive for COVID-19 in the last few days, the league decided to move this game, as well. So, that game will now take place on Tuesday, December 28 at 7 p.m. ET and air on FOX.

One of the biggest reasons why this game was likely moved is due to multiple quarterbacks in Washington testing positive. They've also seen their entire defensive line test positive over the last 10 days, and it’s clear there is an outbreak in the locker room. So, giving Washington two more days to see who is in and out for Week 15 seems like the right choice here by the NFL.

Washington is a +7.5 road underdog on betting apps for the trip to Philadelphia, with the Over/Under set at 41.5.

The final game moved this week features the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. The Rams are coming off a win on Monday Night Football over the Cardinals. But since that game, several players have tested positive for COVID-19, including Odell Beckham Jr. and many more defensive players. That game will also take place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET and also air on FOX. Looking at the NFL odds for the matchup, bettors can get the Rams -5.5 at FanDuel, with the Over/Under at 45.5.
