Best Week 14 DFS QB

Buccaneers QB Tom Brady ($6,900 on DraftKings)

Matchup: vs. Vikings

Coming off a much-needed bye week, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14. Brady has been a strong DFS play over the past three weeks, scoring nine touchdowns. He has averaged 25.4 DFS points during that stretch and has had three games this season with at least 34 points.

Going against one of the league's worst pass defenses, Brady and company should be in for a big day. Minnesota has allowed a combined 547 passing yards to Mike Glennon and Teddy Bridgewater in back-to-back weeks. Don't be surprised if this is a high-scoring game as both secondaries are struggling to cover anyone. Brady should get to 250 passing yards and two or more touchdowns after the week off. At $6,900, Brady is a bit expensive but is a good bet to finish as the QB1 in Week 14.

Best Week 14 DFS RB

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor ($5,800)

NFL Week 14 DFS Picks: Veteran Hands at QB, RB Best Bets 1

Matchup: at Raiders

It has been quite a wild rookie season for Jonathan Taylor. He got the starting job in Week 2, was benched multiple times, then missed a game because of COVID-19 protocols. However, Taylor appears to be finding his stride as he has been productive in his past two games.

Against Green Bay and Houston (Weeks 11 and 13), Taylor totaled 249 yards (rushing and receiving combined) and two touchdowns. He has had a few clunkers this season, but now faces a Raiders' defense that just allowed more than 200 rushing yards to the Jets. Indianapolis is going to want to control the line of scrimmage and that means Taylor could easily see 15 or more carries plus a handful of targets out of the backfield. Given the strong matchup and positive game-script, Taylor is a strong RB2 play this week with the potential to easily outperform his price tag.

Best Week 14 DFS WR

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans ($6,600)

Matchup: vs. Vikings

The 2020 season has been odd for Mike Evans. His yards and catches per game have dropped significantly from the past few years. However, he has 11 receiving touchdowns this season and is Brady's go-to target whenever the Bucs get close to the red zone. Evans is the receiver you want to stack with Brady this week as they will face a young and inexperienced Minnesota secondary.

Evans has not had many high-yardage games this season but he has the upside to catch multiple touchdowns in any game. He also has been very reliable from a DFS perspective over the past five games, averaging 16.5 points per contest. At worst, he's a strong WR2 this week at a reasonable price. But don't be surprised if he has his best day of the season in Week 14. Given all of his injuries this season, the bye week might be just what Evans needed to have a strong final month.

Best Week 14 DFS TE

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert ($4,000)

Matchup: vs. Saints

The Philadelphia Eagles have a new starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts, and there is no telling what that might do to the rest of the offense. It's hard to imagine he will be worse than Carson Wentz, so the passing game could get a slight bump for the rest of the season.

That is why Dallas Goedert is a reliable option in Week 14 DFS lineups. Goedert has had more than 65 receiving yards in three straight games and scored two touchdowns during that time. It remains to be seen how the quarterback change impacts him, but Goedert has been effective this season. Considering his modest price tag, he's a strong tight end play if you opt to avoid paying up for the likes of Travis Kelce and Darren Waller.

Best Week 14 DFS FLEX

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk ($5,400)

NFL Week 14 DFS Picks: Veteran Hands at QB, RB Best Bets 2

Matchup: vs. Washington

Very quietly, Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers is having a strong rookie season. Despite missing some time with an injury and a COVID-19 related absence, Aiyuk has been fantastic. In his past four games, he has caught 26 passes for 376 yards and three touchdowns. Prorate that out to a 16-game season and you are looking at 1,500 yards and 12 scores. Impressive.

In Week 14, Aiyuk will face a good Washington defense coming off a season-changing win over the Steelers. However, Aiyuk is still a good play this week, given his target volume in the 49ers offense. He should see close to double-digit targets again. With his explosiveness and playmaking, he is a strong WR2 play this week.
