This Christmas, the NFL has decided to not take a back seat to the NBA. A football tripleheader highlights the festivities, with four legitimate Super Bowl contenders and perhaps the Game of the Year to cap the action. 

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (9-5) host the rival Las Vegas Raiders (6-8), as one team vies for a division title and the other to keep their postseason chances alive. That’s followed by another rivalry showdown, as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles (10-4) aim to end a three-game skid when they host the New York Giants (5-9). 

Then it’s the big one, as Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers (11-3) host Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (11-3) in a rare late meeting of the teams with the NFL’s top two records.

The Chiefs simply have the Raiders number, and have had it for a while. KC was -9 in Vegas and won by 14, now it’s -10 at home? Vegas went from getting blanked by the Vikings to putting up 63 vs. the Chargers in one week. Four of the Chiefs’ last five wins were by double-figures. The Raiders don’t have a clear path to offensive success. Mahomes and Co. pull away. Lock in KC to cover at FanDuel.

Travis Kelce, Over 5.5 Receptions 

Odds: -130 at DraftKings

Kelce’s reception totals have diminished in the latter half of the season, but he’s still Patrick Mahomes’ favorite weapon, and he has six-plus catches in three of the last five games. That includes a six-catch, 91-yard effort vs. the Raiders. Vegas ranks 27th in receptions allowed to tight ends, and nobody does it better than Kelce. The Giants had won three straight before the offense went flat in New Orleans. This is a tougher matchup, obviously, and New York’s track record on the road isn’t good. Odds: -115 at ESPN BET

DeVito has hovered around this mark in his last four games, throwing for 246 and 191 in the first two, then 158 and 177 the last two. The Eagles’ pass D is a good unit to bet against. They’ve allowed at least 197 pass yards in seven of their last eight games, and 300+ in four of those. Philly ranks 30th in WR yards allowed. If the Eagles lead late, DeVito can back-door this number, if he’s not already there by then.
