NFL Week 16 Best Bets & Player Props For Monday Night Football Tripleheader

This Christmas, the NFL has decided to not take a back seat to the NBA. A football tripleheader highlights the festivities, with four legitimate Super Bowl contenders and perhaps the Game of the Year to cap the action.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (9-5) host the rival Las Vegas Raiders (6-8), as one team vies for a division title and the other to keep their postseason chances alive. That’s followed by another rivalry showdown, as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles (10-4) aim to end a three-game skid when they host the New York Giants (5-9).
Then it’s the big one, as Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers (11-3) host Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (11-3) in a rare late meeting of the teams with the NFL’s top two records.
It makes for a good day of watching football. Bookies.com handicapper Adam Thompson, who is crushing NFL picks yet again this season, reveals his top play for each game on the Monday slate.
Raiders vs. Chiefs Odds
Raiders vs. Chiefs Spread Best Bet
Best Bet: Chiefs -10 (-110) at FanDuel
The Chiefs simply have the Raiders number, and have had it for a while. KC was -9 in Vegas and won by 14, now it’s -10 at home? Vegas went from getting blanked by the Vikings to putting up 63 vs. the Chargers in one week. Four of the Chiefs’ last five wins were by double-figures. The Raiders don’t have a clear path to offensive success. Mahomes and Co. pull away. Lock in KC to cover at FanDuel.
Raiders vs. Chiefs Player Prop Bet
Travis Kelce, Over 5.5 Receptions
Odds: -130 at DraftKings
Kelce’s reception totals have diminished in the latter half of the season, but he’s still Patrick Mahomes’ favorite weapon, and he has six-plus catches in three of the last five games. That includes a six-catch, 91-yard effort vs. the Raiders. Vegas ranks 27th in receptions allowed to tight ends, and nobody does it better than Kelce. Giants vs. Eagles Odds
Giants vs. Eagles Spread Best Bet
Best Bet: Chiefs -10 (-110)
The Giants had won three straight before the offense went flat in New Orleans. This is a tougher matchup, obviously, and New York’s track record on the road isn’t good. But this is a lot of points for a team with Saquon Barkley and an elusive QB. We thought the Eagles had a get-right game last week vs. Seattle, now they’ve dropped three in a row. They’re 5-1 at home but four of those wins were by six points or less. Get the best odds for this spread pick at DraftKings.
Giants vs. Eagles Player Prop Bet
Tommy DeVito, Over 184.5 Pass Yards
Odds: -115 at ESPN BET
DeVito has hovered around this mark in his last four games, throwing for 246 and 191 in the first two, then 158 and 177 the last two. The Eagles’ pass D is a good unit to bet against. They’ve allowed at least 197 pass yards in seven of their last eight games, and 300+ in four of those. Philly ranks 30th in WR yards allowed. If the Eagles lead late, DeVito can back-door this number, if he’s not already there by then. Get the DeVito prop locked in for the best odds at ESPN BET. Ravens vs. 49ers Odds
Ravens vs. 49ers Spread Best Bet
Best Bet: 49ers -5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
What a matchup this is. But the matchups side more with the Niners. The Ravens rank No. 1 in rushing, but must move on without Keaton Mitchell, and the Niners are No. 3 at stopping ball-carriers. Christian McCaffrey is on a different scale; focus on him, and Brock Purdy does damage. All 11 of San Francisco’s victories have been by a TD or more. In the last three games the Niners have been favored by less than a TD, they won by 23, 18, and 31 points. Lock in this top play at Caesars.
Ravens vs. 49ers Player Prop Bet
Lamar Jackson, Under 59.5 Rushing Yards
Odds: -120 at BetMGM
Jackson has rushed for 97 yards and 70 yards in the Ravens’ last two games. But before that, he’d gone over 60 yards just two times in 12 games. He’s taking what the defense gives him, and the Niners haven’t allowed QBs to run on them, allowing only 16.6 ypg. Get the NFL odds for this prop at BetMGM.
