This week's "Game Of The NFL Betting Season" has the defending NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles visiting MetLife Stadium. But this time, they'll face New Jersey's other NFL team: the New York Jets. And QB Aaron Rodgers.

This is a dream Super Bowl 58 matchup for NFL executives and CBS, even though this game will air on Fox as part of the NFL's New Era TV alignment. No longer are home games in each conference tied to a specific network. In the past, this game would have aired on CBS given that the AFC team is at home.

Given the questions surrounding both teams early, this game is a near pick 'em. The Eagles are 1-point road favorites depending on where you shop. Expect this line to move in the Jets favor if Gang Green has any sort of early-season success. Money poured in all off-season on the Jets in NFL futures markets.

Week 6 begins with the upstart Broncos visiting Kansas City on Thursday night. The NFL continues its overseas play when the Baltimore Ravens face the Tennessee Titans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

The NFL Red Zone will be back in Octo-Box mode starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, as there are eight games being played in the early afternoon time slot. The New York Giants visit Orchard Park and face what should be a very lubricated Bills Mafia crowd Sunday night. Not to mention Josh Allen's offense. The Cowboys visit the LA Chargers Monday night.

NFL Week 6 Best Bets

Thursday, Oct. 12

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5), 8:15 p.m. (Amazon Prime)

Oddsmakers have little faith in Sean Payton and Russell Wilson this week. The Broncos are among the great unknowns heading into the season. The Chiefs were 3-5-1 ATS as home favorites last season. Not very impressive for a Super Bowl champion.

Best Bet: Broncos +7.5 (-110) with DraftKings

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (Pick), 1 p.m. (Fox)

Home team gets the edge on a pick 'em.

Best Bet: Bears Pick 'Em (-110) with Caesars Sportsbook

Seattle Seahawks at Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5), 1 p.m.  (CBS)

The Seahawks are scheduled to travel more than 31,000 mile this year, by the far the most of any NFL team. They have 5 games in the Eastern Time Zone. Their only back-to-back Eastern Time Zone scheduled games are in Week 4 at the NY Giants and this one. However, the team has a bye in Week 5. Please, fasten your seatbelts.

Best Bet: Bengals -4.5 (-110) with DraftKings

San Francisco 49ers (-1) at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. (FOX)

The 49ers offer Deshaun Watson his toughest test of the season thus far. It will be pass/fail.

Best Bet: 49ers -1 (-110) with Caesars Sportsbook

New Orleans Saints (-3) at Houston Texans, 1 p.m.  (FOX)

There's no better reason for people in Houston to root for the Astros to go deep in the playoffs than having this stinker at home.

Best Bet: Saints -3 (-110) with Caesars Sportsbook

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (-6.5), 1 p.m. (CBS)

These teams split last season but the Jaguars beat the Colts at home 24-0. We'll go with the home favorites but may revisit this one once the totals are set.

Best Bet: Jaguars -6.5 (-110) with DraftKings

Carolina Panthers at Miami Dolphins (-7), 1 p.m. (CBS)

The Bryce Young On The Run Rookie Tour stops in South Florida this week. Carolina won't be able to keep up with their hosts, especially in a potential South Florida sweatshop. But we're going to move off this line if it gets any larger.

Best Bet: Dolphins -7 (-110) with DraftKings

Detroit Lions (-3.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4:05 p.m. (FOX)

The Buccaneers wear their very-cool, throw-back Creamsickle uniforms in Week 6. They lost their first 26 games in those threads back in 1976-77. They may make a run at that mark in the post-Tom-Brady era.

Best Bet: Lions -3.5 (-110) with DraftKings

New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders (-1), 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

New England lost at Allegiant Stadium last year in a way that must be seen to believe. Since then, Tom Brady, QB Jimmy Garoppolo and Bill O'Brien have joined the Patriots Dysfunctional Family Reunion. Brady is a part-owner of the Raiders, Garoppolo, his former backup, is now the Raiders starter. Brady's former QB coach, O'Brien, is New England's offensive coordinator. Got all that?

Best Bet: Patriots +1 (-110) with DraftKings

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-3.5), 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

The Rams are favored in just four of their 17 games this far. That includes both of their games against the Cardinals. Lock in this one now.

Best Bet: Rams -3.5 (-110) with Caesars Sportsbook

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Jets (Pick), 4:25 p.m.  (FOX)

A potential of the dream Super Bowl matchup for TV and advertising executives. The New York-Philly rivalry resumes with twist, as the Eagles visit MetLife to face Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.  The Eagles knocked Rodgers out of the game with a rib injury last season when he and the Packers lost at Philadelphia. Keeping him upright will be Job 1.

Best Bet: Eagles Pick 'Em (-110) with Caesars Sportsbook

Brian Daboll's homecoming. He's gonna wish he never left.

Best Bet: Bills -7 (-110) with DraftKings

Monday, Oct. 16

Dallas Cowboys (-1) at Los Angeles Chargers, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)

Justin Herbert may flirt with 400 passing yards. Dak and The 'Boys won't be able to keep up.
