Week 7 of the NFL betting season offers us the long-awaited rematch of Super Bowl 58. Whether it is also a preview of Super Bowl 59 remains more of an issue for the San Francisco 49ers than it does for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs are coming off a bye heading into the National Game of The Week on Fox. They are undefeated this season and haven’t lost a game since last December.

Week 7 begins with the Denver Broncos and Sean Payton visiting the New Orleans Saints. This marks the return of former Saints head coach Payton, who left the Saints after the 2021 season after coaching the team for 15 seasons.

The Jets play host to the Steelers in the Sunday night game on NBC.

The Monday night doubleheader is back, as well. The Ravens visit Tampa Bay in the early slot starting at 8:15 pm EDT on ESPN. The Cardinals head to SoFi to face the Rams in the later game, only available outside those markets on ESPN+.

NFL Week 7 Picks, Betting Predictions & Best Bets To Back 1

Thursday, October 17
Broncos at Saints, 8:15 p.m. (Prime Video)

Buzz: Sean Payton’s homecoming will crank up the decibels inside the Caesars Superdome. Payton coached the Saints for 15 seasons before heading to Denver ahead of the 2022 season. This game features a pair of rookie QBs, thanks to the absence of Derek Carr. The Broncos got off to a solid start and stand 3-3 overall and 4-2 ATS after Sunday's loss to the Chargers. A solid defense helped the development of rookie Bo Nix (making just his 7th NFL start) and turned him into a serviceable QB. The Saints counter Nix with Spencer Rattler, who was rattled by the Bucs in the second half of Sunday's 51-27 curb stomping. The Saints traditionally struggle on Thursday nights, having lost 5 straight TNF games at home and failed to cover in each of them.

Best Bet: Broncos ML (+100) at Caesars Sportsbook

Sunday, October 20
Patriots vs. Jaguars (London), 9:30 a.m. (NFL Network)

Buzz: The British lost the Revolutionary War. They survived The Blitz. And 1980s Punk Rock. The UN Security Council must intervene to stop this potential human rights violation. Maye Day! Indeed.

Best Bet: Patriots +5.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Lions at Vikings, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: NFC North supremacy is at stake. The 5-0 Vikings and Sam Darnold are coming off their bye. This is Darnold’s biggest test yet. The Lions demolished Jerry World Sunday but lost Aidan Hutchinson for the season. Still, getting points is a rarity for the Lions. And they've covered as underdogs 8 straight times against NFC North opponents.

Best Bet: Lions +2 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Texans at Packers, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Two of the league’s most dynamic young QBs meet on the plush tundra of Lambeau Field. C.J. Stroud and Jordan Love. The Texans and Packers combined for 75 points in Week  6. Yet this total slipped 0.5 points. That should tell you something. Avoid that number like anthrax. Green Bay’s defense holds sway here. Here's my favorite betting stat of the season (thus far): the Texans have lost 18 straight as road dogs against the NFC. And the Packers are 4-2 on the line this season.

Best Bet: Houston -2.5 (-120) at DraftKings

Seahawks at Falcons, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Angry Birds 2024. The Falcons should chirp at home. The Seahawks are coming off a mini-bye and rough loss to the 49ers at home. But they head to the East Coast for an early kickoff. Seattle has lost 6 straight as road underdogs. And they've missed on the line in 8 of their past 9 games. This number is floating between 2.5 and 3, depending on the book. For 5 BPS, buy the half-point here.

Best Bet: Falcons -2.5 (-115) at Caesars Sportsbook

Eagles at Giants, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Loser gets Bill Belichick. Unless he ends up in Dallas, first. The Eagles have failed to cover in 10 of their past 12 games. And they've lost 5 of 7 straight up as favorites. The Eagles barely beat the woeful Browns 20-16 as 9-point favorites. The Giants caught the resurgent Bengals on the upswing Sunday.

Best Bet: Giants +3.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Bengals at Browns, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: Winner gets Ohio State. The Bengals have whiffed on the line in 8 of 9 against AFC North opponents. And the Browns have beaten Cincinnati at home for 6 years running.

Best Bet: Browns +4.5 (-115) at Caesars Sportsbook

Dolphins at Colts, 1 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: QB roulette. Tyler HuntleySkylar ThompsonJoe FlaccoAnthony Richardson. The Colts made the late call to sit Richardson in favor of Flacco again in Week 6 and won. The Dolphins are coming off the bye and - presumably - more time to figure out their QB situation. It won't be Tua Tagovailoa this week. The Dolphins have failed to cover in 7 of their past 8 games. And Flacco is still elite - whether he plays or not.

Best Bet: Colts -3.5 Points (-105) at Caesars Sportsbook

Panthers at Commanders , 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Rookie QB Jayden Daniels is productive and elusive. He hung tough against the Ravens on Sunday in a 30-23 loss. He’ll have time to throw here. And the Red Rifle won’t be able to keep pace. He (Andy Dalton) threw 2 picks in Carolina's latest loss - to the Falcons - in Week 6. And the Panthers are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games.

Best Bet: Commanders -7.5 (-108)  at Caesars Sportsbook

Raiders at Rams, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)

BuzzTom Brady officially becomes a part-owner of the Raiders this week. He would be much more valuable to them as QB. The Raiders are in the midst of another Raiders meltdown. Aiden O'Connell was their latest human sacrifice at QB. He was a non-factor as the Steelers kept hitting on Silver and Black in a 32-13 rout. The Rams are coming off a bye. While SoFi will be a home-away-from-home-at-their-former-home for the Raiders this week, they have lost 5 straight at SoFi.

Best Bet: Rams +5.5 (-110) at DraftKings

Chiefs at 49ers, 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: The long-awaited rematch of Super Bowl 58. Whether it is also a preview of Super Bowl 59 remains more of an issue for the San Francisco 49ers than it does for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs are coming off a bye heading into the National Game of The Week on Fox. They are undefeated this season and haven’t lost since last December. The 49ers finally congealed in Week 6, dominating the Seahawks on Thursday night. But the Chiefs have been winning with defense. And Patrick Mahomes is 12-1-1 ATS as a betting underdog. The last time he and the Chiefs were betting underdogs? Super Bowl 58. Final Score: Chiefs 25, 49ers 22.

Best Bet: Chiefs +2 (-112) at DraftKings

Jets at Steelers, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)

BuzzAaron Rodgers has a new head coach and a new play caller. He’s running out of excuses. The Steelers just keep covering. They're 4-2 SU and ATS.

Best Bet: Steelers -1.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Monday, October 21
Ravens at Buccaneers, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)

Buzz: The Ravens beat Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium 2 years ago. The next day, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen got divorced. While we assume Baker Mayfield will still be happily married after this game, his Bucs probably won't be feeling any bliss when this one is over. But the Bucs are tough when getting points, covering in 9 of 12 games as underdogs. But this number is a bit wonky. The total is a bit too high.

Best Bet: Under 50 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Chargers at Cardinals, 8:45 p.m. (ESPN+)

Buzz: Why is this game on Monday night? Because they couldn’t put it on Tuesday night. Marvin Harrison Jr. left Sunday's loss to the Packers with a concussion. This number swung 4 points in the interim, meaning oddsmakers are doubtful about his availability against the Bolts.

Best Bet: Chargers -2.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
